some local files stop autoplaying

some local files stop autoplaying

hello, i have some interesting issue i have shared with a couple other users and has happened right out of the blue with no change of mine.

sometimes when playing some tagged local files in any playlist and any order, right before some of them, the track shows up as if it were playing (the progress bar staying at zero) but doesnt actually play.

there are probably hundreds of my songs thhat this happens to and i dont really want to wipe the metadata of them and retag them because itd take a really long time for it to not even help.

any ideas or advice apreciated, issue still ongoing, im on family plan - issue going on ONLY on pc (on mobile everything works fine) - windows 10 and i have already tried deleting and reinstalling spotify from scratch, deleting cache, reloading files, changing directory of files (theyre in disk D).

thank you!

Hey @31zpjvjopb6tl5e6tef4, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

This seems like autoplay or cross-fade is doing what it is supposed to. Could you try turning off both options in settings and see if that makes any difference?

Do correct me if I misunderstood the issue. 🙂
