So apparantly they  took yet another feature away and now they deleted my post and reply in that thread.

I've seen mentioned in other posts that they removed the feature.  I have not seen any official response by Spotify as to whether this is true and if so, why the decision was made.

Cheers for the reply

If they removed it thats crazy. Why still have the option to connect to facebook if they took it away.First removal of sharing with friends and not even able to let friends see what im listening too

And thankfully to spotify publishing changelogs everytime they change something,we are clearly able to see as paying customers what they have done or taken away each time......oh hang on a minute...what changelogs

Anyone from spotify care to comment if this is true or not?

Starting to wonder if it's Facebook no longer publishing activity from any music app.  I setup a Last.fm and hooked that up to Facebook and my Spotify, and while the scrobbles are showing up in Last.fm, no activity logging on Facebook.

I guess from their perspective, if it's true and it's them, it makes sense.  I mean, while it's supposed to be a social platform, and what more fun thing to share about yourself than the music you are into, it lets you share without actually having to go to Facebook (which, is my favorite part about it), and if you aren't actually interacting with the site directly, you aren't clicking, and reading fake news, and generating any income for them.

It's like how they now 'clear out' personal feeds of any information rather quickly, forcing you to go check the news feed.  That's something that popped up in the past year.  Although recently they starting popping up garbage on my personal feeds too, which I have to click on and say "don't show me any more".

Yep and all the more reason spotify should put back the ability to share stuff from within spotify and not force us to use other social media  that no one else wants to do ,and by the looks of it,the other social media pap has stopped it from working anyway

Come on spotify, bring back the sharing functionality WITHIN SPOTIFY !!!

Why are things so convoluted to share  some  music with my friends!!!

I was searching for this exact issue.

It seems kind of dumb to notice that my "Recent top music" on Facebook, that I know some of my friends look for new discoveries etc., hasn't been updated since I don't know when. From their perspective it may seem I'm stuck on replay. So what's going on? Could someone from Spotify or Facebook please clarify this issue? I don't much appreciate a wrong music listening character of myself being portrayed on Facebook...

That's unfortunate. I'm currently deciding between Deezer, Apple Music, and Google Play Music. Will have to test them out to make my final decision, but it's a good thing there seems to be a good amount of options out there nowadays.

If they don't bring it back I will gladly delete my premium subscription. Why pay if I my favorite feature is gone for no reason?

Grumble grumble.  Spent 15 minutes this morning trying to debug.  Help section on #Spotify still has instructions hot to enable this.

Torked that they wouldn't mention it anywhere ... even their own instructions.

I liked that feature.
