spotify not playing songs on windows app

My Question or Issue

After listening to music yesterday, I was confused when my laptop randomly stopped playing, and whenever I tried to unpause it, it would play just fine but with no audio whatsoever. My laptop plays audio from other sites, and I made sure it wasn't playing on any other device or etc, but still didn't work. I eventually tried reinstalling and signing out, and when I tried to sign in I got an error code 15 signifying an error in my firewall settings, even though I have Spotify allowed in my firewall for both private and public networks. After running my laptop in Safe Mode with Networking, it let me log back in without the firewall issue, but the music still isn't playing. Can anybody help with this?

Sorry to see you've been experiencing this issue...
If you've installed the app from our website, we'd recommend switching over to the Microsoft App Store version of it to see if that makes a difference. 
While doing this, you may perform a complete clean reinstall for good measure.
