spotifyhelper.exe has stopped working when clicking on New Releases

Every time I click on new releases on the Desktop version using Win 7 it keeps popping up with the spotifyhelper.exe has stopped working error and yes I have removed it and restalled it but still get the same. This is a work PC however I can access everything else in Spotify ok.

That's odd. What Spotify version are you using? Also, did you follow these steps to reinstall the app?

In the meantime, try launching the Spotify app as the administrator before trying again. You can also try turning off Hardware Acceleration under View > Hardware Acceleration.

I have removed and reinstalled lots of times and I am using 0.9.15.27. Hardware Acceleration is also switched off and yet i still get it.

Seems like you're using a very old version of Spotify. I suggest keeping up to date by downloading the latest one here.

Test it out once it's updated and let me know how it goes.
