After more than six months of Discover Weekly trying to convert me, I have come to the conclusion that my Spotify account may be possessed by the spirit of Jesus Christ.

Every Monday I perform an exorcism by hiding tracks, skipping songs and blocking artists. Yet the following week He returns. Stronger. More determined. More CEDM.

Meanwhile, Daylist, AI DJ and my Mixes understand my taste perfectly. Only Discover Weekly seems convinced that my true calling is “Jesus Is The King (D&B Remix)”.

Meanwhile my Discover weekly seems to stuck on other genres as well. Every week they are the same. How can I get suggestions back that do reflects my taste? I have tried changing passwords, hiding and blocking artists, clear cache, reinstalling app. As a premium user I do expect better quality.

I have the exact same issue for months now. And i had it before ~2 years ago.

My Top genres are all Rock related, yet discover weekly is trying to force german pop as a genre. Every. Single. Week. I hate german pop. I follow maybe 2 artists i like that do german indie rock, but it's not even remotely related to POP.
I dislike every single song, make sure to exclude it from my song profile. I end up getting the same artists and the same genre again next week. Guess they fired the algorithm guy 'cause this is obnoxious as **bleep**. This was one of the main features i used spotify for and now it's completely useless to me, i struggle so hard now to find new artists i actually like. I also dont wanna have to use the genre filter in discover weekly because i do want the diversity that the unfiltered playlist offered. 
There should be an option to block a genre from your discover weekly for a certain time to force the algorithm to do a clean refresh. 
I have the suspicion that me listening to german podcasts that aren't marked as podcasts but as "artists" negatively impacts my algorithm. But there's also no option to exclude a whole artist from your taste profile...

Hi, you can block an artist. If you go to the artist and drop down the menu you select don’t play this artist. Thanks for sharing our mutual pain ;-).
