Spotify won't connect with Facebook

When I first created my Spotify account, I didn't use my Facebook account to sign in, but created an account by email. Now I want to connect my existing Spotify account with my also existing Facebook account. But this doens't work. 

When I try to connect Spotify to my Facebook account (Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Connect To Facebook...) it opens a new window that says: 'OK' and then nothing happens. Some goes for my Spotify App on iOS.

What should I do to make my Spotify and Facebook accounts connect?

Try downloading the new version that was announced:

It should be working in the new version.

You may notice a few features are missing in the new version and Spotify hopes to bring some of those back in a future update.

This is happening to me too, and I'm on the most current version of Spotify.

I've been a Spotify user for years and this problem has never been fixed 😕 It'd be really nice to have a profile picture haha.

I still have this problem in 2018, but also there's my subscription money on the line... Does anybody know a solution?
