Add Equalizer in Spotify

For ipod touch there is a huge need for eq because Spotify bypasses the regular Apple Sound Settings.

I use high end headphones but need to be able to fintune the settings so I can enjoy my music and tech equally.

So please, please make an EQ for the spotify app

Updated: 2015-09-17

Spotify now lets you enjoy music audio the way you want to hear it with the launch of our in-app equalizer on the iPhone and iPad.

Simply update the latest version of the Spotify iOS app and go to Settings > Playback > Equalizer to access the new feature.

If you're one of our Android friends, we already have a native equalizer which you can access inside the app under Audio Effects in the Settings.

If you'd like to see an equalizer on desktop you can give kudos to this "Equalizer for the Desktop Version" idea. Thanks!

Having a built-in EQ is especially important for Mac users, the methods I've found for equalization are not ideal. There are free ways of doing it but they are overly complicated and clunky. There are some apps you can buy but $5+ for a simple EQ seems like too much to me.  This feature would be a very welcome addition.

Unacceptable that we don't have an equalizer. I pay every month for the premium service for listen 320kbps music on my iPhone with my earphones and also in my car and  it's really flat as the 160kbps................................ fix this.......................

So Many updates and you remove the EQ ?   Please bring it back FAST!!!

The continued lack of an equalizer and the almost 2 years of under consideration is starting to get embarasing, whats so hard about adding this? You would think by now this huge post should be a hint its a wanted feature....

Been trialing Premium and enjoy it almost enough to purchase. Much of my listening is on planes or other noisy environments which require eq correction to sound balanced (and minimize hearing damage/fatigue at loud volumes). A built in eq (or effective iOS eq app) is a must before I'll buy.

Just curious, Is anyone from spotify even listening, and If so are you ever going to chime in with a response. Even if the response is never. SAY SOMTHING!!!!!

Nah they won't respond. They are devs and not listening as it seems. The current implementation on Android is just awful. They embedded Music Fx and I hate this app. I can never get it to sound the same way on my devices like Ford sync and through any of my home systems that connect through Bluetooth. Sure sometimes you can actually influence the sound with the eq but most times the adjustments make it worse and/or lower output. My free premium trial is about up and won't pay for this quality. The app or service is great but eff the mobile droid version.

whatever any of the others ideas is about it refers to some sort of organization of files etc. However, the equalizer function is purly music related and has a huge impact on the quality since not all devices we listen to are perfect. Even the huge difference between Apple TV and Sonos requires an adaption. Or you listen via iPod earphones or a Bose system at home.

therfore, pls. re- implement this little but important music feature. And this is what Spotify is all about at first: music for its customers.

Are there alternatives other than spotify that allow me to play around with the EQ? Real tired of this waiting...
