[All Platforms][Your Library] Increase maximum Songs allowed in Your Music

I feel like the maximum amount of songs allowed in one playlist, and subsequently in "Songs" playlist under the new "Collections" feature, should be more than 10,000.

Quite frankly it should be unlimited.

We are paying for a service but limited on how many songs we are able to save? That is absurd to me.

I recently started saving all of my albums into "Collections" and got stuck at about 1/4 of the way through - 10,000 songs has been reached and I am no longer able to save any more albums.

PLEASE INCREASE MAX NUMBER OF SONGS IN COLLECTION FEATURE!!!

WHAT IS A COLLECTION IF YOU HAVE TO LIMIT YOUR TASTE???

Updated on 2020-05-26

Hey,

Thanks for coming to the Idea Exchange.

We're excited to be marking this idea as implemented!
We've now removed the limit on saved items in Your Library, making it possible to save songs, and albums on Spotify to your heart's content.

As the app has changed quite a bit since this idea was submitted, please be aware that some functionality is now different. This change does not impact the limit on the number of songs in a playlist other than your Liked Songs.

For more info, check out this blog post.

@Marcochabbi13 Apple's service launches June 8th

This is ridiculous.

I recently bought Spotify Premium with the sole purpose of having all of my music in one place. (iTunes files took up too much space on my computer). How can you continue to release NEW content without expecting people to have to delete music to make room for the new?

This is NOT a problem for the few, rather, it's a problem for the many.

Let's say, for simplicity's sake, that each album has 12 songs on it. That would mean you can fit around 830 albums in Your Music. And then let's say that you have around 5 albums per artist. So that coems to 166 artists you can have in your collection. (I know this isn't factoring in longer albums/EPs/live albums/singles, but I just want to make a point)

Call me a music snob, but I easily reached that limit; and I'm sure a lot of people would sometime or another, too. If the world library of music continues to increase due to new artists/new albums, why shouldn't our limit also increase to reflect the growing music conglomerate?

Hi,

Voting with my wallet here.  Unsubscribing from Premium and looking for options.  Alternatives anybody?

thanks,

This is my main gripe with Spotify. I can no longer save albums or artists and haven't been able to for a long time. This means I now have to usually go to "Go To Artist" for artists in my music which makes for a disjointed experience.

@binoy1: Your Last.fm user library is not limited, and the new beta site offers personal radio stations with Spotify content, so you can listen to your complete library in a shuffled radio station, or to your Mix or Recommendations radios. You neither have to subscribe to Last.fm nor to Spotify to use this, it's free and should also work with Spotify's mobile apps.

This is the most arbitrary and stupid thing about Spotify...

I just found about this limit today when I was trying to figure out why my account hadn't saved any tracks since april. The limit is absurd, and not having an error message is even worse. I'm cancelling.

What is still strange to me is the complete ignorance from Spotify staff about this. How is it possible no one from the staff of the company which uses the service has discussed this internally and how it is such a pain when you hit the 10 000 limit.

Just give us some any feedback on the status of this will you?
