[All Platforms][Your Library] Increase maximum Songs allowed in Your Music

I feel like the maximum amount of songs allowed in one playlist, and subsequently in "Songs" playlist under the new "Collections" feature, should be more than 10,000.

Quite frankly it should be unlimited.

We are paying for a service but limited on how many songs we are able to save? That is absurd to me.

I recently started saving all of my albums into "Collections" and got stuck at about 1/4 of the way through - 10,000 songs has been reached and I am no longer able to save any more albums.

PLEASE INCREASE MAX NUMBER OF SONGS IN COLLECTION FEATURE!!!

WHAT IS A COLLECTION IF YOU HAVE TO LIMIT YOUR TASTE???

Updated on 2020-05-26

Hey,

Thanks for coming to the Idea Exchange.

We're excited to be marking this idea as implemented!
We've now removed the limit on saved items in Your Library, making it possible to save songs, and albums on Spotify to your heart's content.

As the app has changed quite a bit since this idea was submitted, please be aware that some functionality is now different. This change does not impact the limit on the number of songs in a playlist other than your Liked Songs.

For more info, check out this blog post.

At least I know I'm not going crazy and that's how it used to work! Thanks @DenalB .

It's kind of on-topic, in that "library" really means a few different things here (songs, albums, OR artists). Hopefully the new lack of a limit applies to all of them, though you'd need a REALLY epic collection to have 10,000 artists.

A few weeks ago I tested Tune My Music with a conversion of my Last.fm library to Spotify which resulted in about 13k favorite artists, so this is possible as well. It also caused my Release Radar to have 200 new tracks each Friday, Discover Weekly stayed at 30 tracks though.

If you have a large Last.fm library, this makes importing it in Spotify much easier now, as you can use your Spotify favorite songs for all Last.fm scrobbles in your library. This also means that you do not need to use playlist folders anymore if you don't want to which will also be much easier in the web player and mobile apps which do not support folders.

I VERIFIED that everything works as it should.
From my PC (Windows 10 Spotify app), I was able to CTRL-A (select all) from one of my created favorites list that had to be made AFTER I reached the 10K limit and was ABLE to past it into my LIKED (Spotify made folder). It took it a few moments to update. The Windows 10 app doesn't show counts, but when I opened my Droid app (where it shows counts), the LIKED folder started counting up and went right past the 10K mark without any issues.

Social media DOES WORK!

Finally! Thank you

I'm almost close to hitting the 10,000 limit so now I don't need to worry. It would also be nice to increase the playlist limit. I like to share my full library in the form of a playlist. Won't be possible after 10,000 songs. Being able to share liked songs list would be cool

timothymartin73, the maain thing I dislike about multiple playlists is that when tracks get invarible duplicated, a second starred song will appear twice. Our memories aren't infallible, and in my 4 ten thousand song playlists, many must be duplicated. I'm sure that there are some dupes in your 7 playlists. It's kinda like having 3 copies of the White Album. Yes some audiofiles have multiple copies, but I doubt that every copy is played.
