[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Absolutely pathetic. Another year goes by and there's still not a hint of any will to address this utterly glaring omission in basic functionality. What a bunch of clowns Spotify are.

this is a great idea. I wish they'd make it a reality.

grbsoft

This is NOT an "idea". This is absolutely BASIC for a music player app.

I've tweeted and they replied sending me SpotifyCares client satisfaction poll...

Fix it, it's easy and it should have been done years ago. Don't you have Android phones to test it? You don't need it, just load Android Studio and see for yourselves

I tweeted Daniel Ek too, got usual replies from SpotifyCares in response!

If anyone would care to "like" these tweets of mine it might help to draw his attention.

How weird, just got this error when I tried to post the link to my original tweet to Daniel Ek:

this is a basic feature,  not just a "good idea" any other app can rearrange playlists,  this should be considered a bug, get your finger out spotify

Just want to add my two cents since I've just encountered this problem as well.  I've always used the desktop icon to rearrange my playlists in alphabetical order.  However, just purchased a Chromebook and now it's no longer possible since the web browser doesn't have this functionality either.  Hoping to use my Android phone app, I was very disappointed to learn, after being a Premium member for so many years, that it's not possile either.  But it is if you have iOS?!  I consider it to be a very important necessity.  Honestly, I am very particular about all of my music; with everything I own in alphabetical order as well as chronilogical order.  Please, I'm no expert, but Google Play has had the ability for years.  Why not Spotify?

Joemommaspotify

Totally agree. Why not Spotify? Google Play Music has this feature and just about every music app on Android but Spotify. Answer, they don't want Android users to have this feature. Only logical answer. Why? Who knows...only Spotify.

tweet to @SpotifyCares maybe

I've tweeted with them multiple times about this and my tweet to the CEO
just got routed through them for us to have the same template "We'll pass
along your idea to the developers!" type convo that goes nowhere.
