[Discover] Please add a "Not Interested" Button

As the title suggests, it would be useful if Spotify had a "not interested" button like YouTube does for videos. I have been using Spotify for many years and still receive a lot of recommendations for playlists and podcasts that I am simply not interested in. One such example is "Learn Korean and Korean Culture" by jerry. I have no interest in learning Korean whatsoever, so it would be useful for me to remove recommendations such as these.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the support and feedback you've given to this idea!

We have some exciting news to share with you: in the mobile app, it's now possible to remove content recommendations from the subfeeds (Music and Podcasts & Shows) of your Home screen by tapping Not interested in the context menu of the cards:

The content you mark as "not interested" will instantly be removed from your subfeed and won't show up again. Any other songs/albums/episodes by that artist/podcast show will also be filtered out from future recommendations.

After tapping Not interested, an Undo button will pop up at the bottom of the screen for a short time so you can revert the changes.

Keep in mind that this feature is gradually rolling out, so if you don't see the button in the context menu of the cards, we'd recommend making sure that you're running the latest version of Spotify. If you're having trouble with, or have any other questions about this feature, feel free to reach out in the relevant Help board here.

Thanks again for helping us make Spotify better. We're always striving to provide the best possible user experience and your feedback is always appreciated.

Would be great if the button is not only in the discovery section but everywhere, right next to the heart button.

This one’s not going anywhere.  They’ve buried the ‘hide podcasts’ suggestion deep into the woods on this ideas page, can’t see them implementing this one either.  Spotify needs to listen to its paying customers and get their monster mistakes off our home screens.

Spotify has been investing in a lot of podcasts lately, and this shows that they want to push them (the podcasts) to the public. Only Spotify seems to keep forgetting that most people that are on Spotify are here for the MUSIC. Yeah sounds strange right...

It would be better for all music listeners/Spotify users to be able to FULLY disable/hide the podcast section, and respect the users choice in the matter.

maybe easer to implement; Give the user a page to see there history. And let them remove items from the history. This way someone can remove items they did not like from there. Afterwards the suggestions could be recalculated and more strong suggestions should pop up.

I think that the "not interested" suggestion is more user friendly. But if this history suggestion is easier to implement than I guess that most people will be helped.

Agreed.  Not interested, and can't get rid of this top NSFW suggestion on my work machine!

Let's all post screenshots of our inappropriate recommendations to show how ridiculous this really is.

Again, all we need is a way to tell you, dear Spotify, that you are way off base with these suggestions.  Like a 'not interested' button.  Simple!

Incredible how this keeps even in discussion.

Premium users should have the option to CHOOSE if they want to keep these suggestions (for months) or not.

When will this be implemented? It is time that Spotify listens to the customers and provides the features we want and that you promise you will deliver? I listened to one podcast once and I did not like it. This podcast regularly publishes episodes so it is always showing up in my profile on all platforms. I would like the ability to remove any podcast, playlist album or artists from my page on an individual basis. It is time that Spotify listened and delivered to their customers.

Sadly this is the new way, the way everything seems to be going.  Communism.  Dictatorship.  You don’t have a voice when it comes to this**bleep**.   Companies like Spotify, governments, people, want to control everything about you.  This is the new way of life going forward, super sad.  Suck a **bleep** Spotify

Yes. Random recommendations are really annoying and really irritates when there are lots of them. A "not interested" button would be really helpful.

What we are saying is, the hide button does literally nothing. It doesnt even HIDE the song as the common english word suggests. It only greys out the song which is... wait for it.. not useful. Navigating to "dont play this" on a specific artist is simply inconvient. There are too many artists that i actively dislike being suggested now to spend all day doing that to every one. This is why a "dislike" or "not interested" or "dont play this" or "dont like this" or "please make this go away" button under every song and artist is a necessary quality of life feature that should be implemented back in as soon as possible.
