Implement an actual shuffle function

Yes, you read that right.  The "shuffle" function in Spotify is nothing more than a randomizer.  There's a difference?  YES.

RANDOM - Play one song.  The next song can be ANY song in your playlist.  Including the one you just listened to.  Though I've never had this specifically happen, I literally just heard the same song that I heard 2 songs ago.  This is how Spotify's "shuffle" currently functions.

SHUFFLE - Take your entire list, shuffle them (like cards), and play the first song in the shuffle.  Once finished, move that song off the pile.  Once the pile is depleted, shuffle the deck again and start over (maybe pop a message up).

I know enough about programming (not much) to know that shuffling is probably a bit harder than random, but come on.  I may be in the minority, but I don't have a lot of little playlists.  I have one list with nearly a thousand songs in it, because I like all the music, and am rarely not in the mood for one of those songs.  But what I can't stand is hearing the same song over and over again.  I think there may even be songs in my list I haven't heard yet, while I've heard others 4-5 times.

I know it may not matter much, but I would probably lay down the money for at least a year subscription if this feature was implemented.

EDIT: Another user pointed out that I can see what all is queued up in my shuffle by clicking the Play Queue link, and that Spotify supposedly sets up a rolling shuffle of 50 songs.  It would be nice if this range could be expanded to say 50-100% of your playlist.

EDIT 4/6/12: I just dealt with the same song 16 tracks later.  The song played the first time yesterday afternoon.  I went home, listened for a bit on my home PC (just a few songs), then started listening again this morning.  If the list recycles itself after a day, or if you log in from another computer, I see that as an area for improvement.

as referred here by twitter I would like to confirm what so many before me have said, Shuffle is pretty aweful. 
I can click shuffle 3 times while I'm working and listen to the same three songs every time. Over 1000 songs I have saved and I listen to the same mix of 20 every time. please fix. I've been listening to my playlists with shuffle off, and just go straight down, there's more variation that way -_-

Though I am surely pissing in the wind with every character that I type . . . Guys. You have the metadata for our LIFETIME listens -- you use it to generate our year-in-review playlists. I am grateful for everything you've done in the years I've subscribed to this service, but I would give my first-born to the fires if you would help me visit all the songs equally in my massive playlists.

Great going. Now playing sequentially does not even work. It keeps starting from the top again.

When i try to shuffle my "liked from radio" playlist which has 1000's of songs on it, I only get songs at the begging of the alphabet.  So songs that begin with the letter A or B or a digit.  I am getting a lot of repeat songs.  I have checked my playlist and every song i have liked is only in there 1 time.  I want to be able to shuffle the entire playlist A - Z not just A - B.

I've also wonder when are they gonna fix this. It's supper annoying to think that its a shuffle but it really is not. SPOTIFY, STEP IT UP!!

For simple resume you can make a playlist with 100+ songs and play this on shuffle mode and prepary to listen the same songs lots of times, and this is with the Repeat option disabled!

And i only leave the spotify because this, because i dont want to play my giant playlist to listen only 20~50 music...

Do not try to remake the wheel!
i had never see it before, the sound system option that work for years and you guys try to make this again, its simple, just use the old and good shuffle, this work like a charm and all will be happy 🙂

Yes, spotify, please ensure your shuffle function shuffles the entire playlist. Currently, from any playlist 100 songs or more, it shuffles only max 80 songs from that list.  I have a playlist of 200 songs and it will only shuffle 80 of those then repeat the same 80 song queue.
