Integrate HTML5 with play.spotify.com

With the new Xbox one coming out and it not supporting flash, I believe Spotify needs to revamp their play.spotify.com site to support HTML5 also, flash is a bit old, isn't it? I think this will greatly improve the experience on the site as well. <br><br>Thank you.

Hey everyone! We can confirm this very popular idea is now fully implemented.  The new Web Player uses HTML5 technologies solely. Thanks for your continued feedback in the Idea Exchange!

I have stricken Flash from all my machines.  It seems like there is a new security issue every month, not to mention that support for Flash is waning.  Please adopt HTML 5.

Still not on HTML5? I deinstalled Flash on all my macs and now the web player is not working anymore. darn!

I'm done with Flash and have deleted it from all my computers.

Also deinstalled flash on my mashines, still would love to use the webplayer.

Meanwhile, soundcloud, youtube etc work great 😕

Flash is not safe. Please adopt HTML 5.

Between modern browser support for HTML audio and video, the security risks of continuing to install Flash, and its rapidly dropping support (no iOS devices, no Xbox One's, no Edge browsers, and soon to be no Chrome with the deprecation of the NPAPI at the very least), it is becoming imperative that Spotify move away from Flash to a solution for its web player which supports modern web standards. Whether it takes consulting with another company or can be accomplished on its own, please make this change happen.

Surely the legal isues of piracy could be resolved with the integration of EME in browsers, especially since Firefox is using Adobe Primetime DRM which is the same system as the one used in Flash.

Drop that vulunarable Flash! Browsers stop support so you should do the same

HTML5 really needs to be added and another form of encyption needs to be found if that is necessary.

Flash is on the way out. Blocked on Chrome, blocked by many employers including mine.

The web version of Spotify will soon become redundant unless they adopt HTML5.

or they do the whole encryption stuff with Javascript or something along that areas, anything that is decrypted on the client-side can be found and used, including keys and similar stuff so you wont get around that.

I think if someone takes that spotify flash nicely apart some way will make it possible to rip there.
