Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

Please for the love of god, make it so we can disable Smart Shuffle! Everytime you turn it off, it just automatically re-enables itself after one song.. sooo **bleep** annoying!!

I hate it because when I'm in a car and i have regular shuffle on, get to a song in my playlist that has a song i like right next to it, turn shuffle off to go to that song, it just starts the playlist from the beginning.

I don't like any of the artists 'Smart Shuffle' suggests. I immediately Block them & their artists.

Stop playing with my list. I'm getting ready to move on from Spotify. What's Pandora like?

*edit - I like that you brought back playthrough in the background. Little snippets of music & animations are welcome. What I don't like is 21 Savage. I blocked them from playing in my list but they're back. I have to go to the artist link & completely block them.In the future I might like them but you made me block them from playing.

Smart Shuffle is extremely annoying, and not to mention it's glitchy, which makes it even worse. The amount of times I'm trying to reshuffle my library and it adds the "recommendations" and I tap to remove smart shuffle and then tap again to shuffle normally, half the time it didn't remove the shuffles, and then reverts back to smart shuffle. I have to click and wait for them to add them, then i wait five more seconds to tap to remove, then another 5 before I click to reshuffle. It literally is taking me 30 seconds to do something that is super simple and I'm tired of smart shuffle. Either remove or allow us to disable it completely.

We're approaching 30 pages and still nothing. I suggest we:

1. Keep commenting here, it can't go on forever

2. Maybe some social media campaign? Those using twitter could start some appropriate #

3. Maybe emailing spotify support email will bring attention to our cause

I finally break down to submit a bug report for this, and it's almost been a year since it was submitted. 👏 I'll be back in April to celebrate the anniversary of this confounding oversight. 🎉

What the heck are you even doing? You're going against your own policies for something YOU clearly want to push streams and therefore more $$$ for you. Instead of listening to the people that use your app daily.

Just to be clear, I don’t subscribe to Spotify anymore due to and only due to this worst ever User experience „Smart“ Shuffle. Let me know once this can be permanently disabled. Then I will be happy to come back.
