Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

It takes a few minutes to load the smartshuffle sometimes, and I have fast internet. This is unusable. I also simply don't want this. I like spotify for discovering new music, but when I play my liked list, I know what I want.

Please! its very annoying to unshuffle my list because i want to listen to a specific song that comes after my currently shuffled song just for it to stay shuffled! i also dont want to have to wait a few extra seconds or even mins when my internet is slow just to turn it off! give us an option to disable it in our settings

It's a good feature but it's frustrating waiting for it every time you want to switch from shuffle to playing in order

I absolutely despise smart shuffle.

It has made me basically stop using the app.

I'm the type that likes to re-shuffle my playlist over and over until it gets a good combination of songs- but because of the lag caused by this unwanted new smart shuffle I can never even get started.

Now I just try twice, get frustrated, and close the app.

I have gone from being an every day listener to a once a week listener and quite frankly if this problem isn't resolved by the time my subscription renews- I'm just going to unsubscribe and migrate to a different app.

It's simply not worth the frustration.

I am so thoroughly sick of spotify constantly trying to shove unwanted suggestions and sponsored content down my throat.

There is also an issue with this integrating poorly with android auto/apple carplay. The Spotify app on those OSes doesn't know that smart shuffle is on and doesn't allow any option to turn it off without dangerously using one's phone while driving.

This is looking like the deal breaker that sends me to another platform. I do not want Spotify sticking random tracks into my carefully curated playlists EVER. My playlists are not random, they are by record label or genre or bpm. I don't want to have a load of irrelevant **bleep** in it because the fricking button for it is too easy to click accidentally. If this happens one more time, I'n cancalling my subscription.

The whole "Smart" playlist system just doesn't work for me, with it enabled I can't sort or search songs in my Playlist, so I just have to wait till they appear, and if I don't like them I have to look for them and then remove it manually. Forcing it as a Shuffle option is nothing more than annoying, especially since it takes time to actually turn on and off again when I try to turn off Shuffle

it is just anoying that you can only toggle from off to shuffle, smart shuffle and off again. Customers need the option to completely disable smart shuffe in the menu/configuration section !
