Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

Thank you. This is absolutely the worst feature in Spotify history.

Now please implement the ability to disable it in Windows desktop app.

Also, please just make all future ideas optional. The create playlist was another awful idea and it took forever to remove it.

Nobody likes smart shuffle. 

There's nothing smart about it. All it does is play songs you don't like and repeats songs you've already heard over and over again, if I wanted to do that I'd just put them on repeat. Please just get rid of it.

While I appreciate the ability to disable this feature on mobile, I will again reiterate that this needs to be implemented on the desktop application. I know there are probably stats somewhere that tells you (Spotify corporate) that the overwhelming majority of your users are listening on mobile, but it's assuredly not 100%. Are you comfortable alienating a portion of your user base simply because they don't belong to the majority? I know you're probably trying to funnel everybody to use the mobile app like every other God-forsaken capitalist, but this omission is so bizarrely egregious.

I just hope we're not on the cusp of Spotify engineers believing artificial intelligence is the future and handing over development of their software to ai. If that happens, we're going to see some extinction-level updates that really kill this thing for real.
