I think there should be a Spotify feature for the Apple TV, similar to the Netflix App which is available. As currently, the only way Spotify can be played on the Apple TV is through AirPlay which requires an iPod Touch/iPhone.

It really makes no sense for Spotify to have an app on about every other platform except Apple TV. I mean, you have it on iPhone and iPad so it’s already on the ios platform. Get it together and make an Apple TV app. Yes they can use airplay as a workaround, but that’s not right. I just bought my daughter an Apple TV and she’s a spotify premium subscriber. She sets her Apple TV up and NO SPOTIFY APP?  C’mon people, settle whatever beef you have and let’s get this made. You only stand to benefit. There isn’t a downside to getting that app ported over. This has been requested for SO long. Who’s the brainiac that keeps stopping this app from happening?  Whoever it is, FIRE THEM, and let’s move on.

We are waiting more then a year already for a status update...
If apple music would be more mature, I'll switch.

The lack of an Apple TV app is the biggest hinderance for me in subscribing for a premium account. It shouldn't require multiple devices just to stream music through my home entertainment system.

Dear Spotify: Please develop your app for Apple TV once and for all!

I know hundreds of people who prefer Apple Music over Spotify because it is integrated on Apple TV and Apple Watch as well!

No need to mess around with AirPlay!!

I am sure Apple isn’t thrilled about this, but there needs to be a Spotify app on Apple TV to complete the product and allow all artists access to the platform.

Hi guys, I have no idea what's behind it but as you can see above if you are able to develop it, just do it. You will get much more satisfied subscribers, moreover most of them coming from Apple Music. 🙂

 Just a basic app that supports Spotify Connect would be enough. So I can play from my ATV4 without using Airplay on my Macbook, and so my girlfriend can connect with her Android phone. No browsing, no playlists, no nothing .. just connect and play.

Yes, please develop and release a Spotify app for AppleTV. I am a paying monthly Spotify user and I found it odd that it isn't available on that platform.

The workaround of using AirPlay is less than ideal. My wife has an Android phone so she can't use it. Also, I have to turn off notifications on my phone to avoid the audio "drops" when alerts come in.

Note that Amazon Prime has an app on AppleTV now. So please make your AppleTV app available soon.
