Picture on Profile

I would like to suugest the option of adding our own pictures or avitars WITHOUT linking it to our Facebook accounts.

I know there are some of us that were fortunate enough to get Spotify before it linked with Facebook and I would love to add my picture on the account page.

why can't I have my Spotify account independant of Facebook. I despise Facebook and will never have one. But I do have a lot of friends with Spotify and I want to send them music regularly. I can't edit my profile or anything. This is very frustrating.

Ok, it's 2014 now and the Spotify team has still NOT implemented a profile picture without Facebook connectivity? C'mon!

I wish they would just implement the feature already. It isn't hard at all. They're seriously just getting lazy.

We should have the ability to have an avatar on our profiles without having to link up with Facebook. Not everybody has a Facebook page or wants to link the two even if they do.

Also, enough with the hipsters already. Go back to your coffee shop poetry readings and take your holier-than-thou attitudes with you. Just because you don't like Facebook doesn't mean you need to come in here and spout all your nonsensical drivel about how much you think FB is going down the 'crapper' or how much of a better or 'cooler' person you are for not having one. Go away.

time is running Spotify...get it finally fixed.

We pay and we like to choose not to be in Facebook,  it is optional as is all business, you know?

Firstly, if I was on kickbacks for recommending Spotify I'd be living in mansion wiping my ass with medium/rare kobe steak (is this what rich people do?). Its an amazing service I use daily and don't plan on unsubscribing anytime soon!

However... what I'm getting round to saying is how you should allow people to drop the carcinogenic Facebook link; mainly due to more people ditching the once popular social media site and offer more integration with other social apps or just a standalone Spotify profile like MSN messenger had in 2000. Come on guys, I think the backroom of Swedish elder geeks sat comfortably in your finest Ikea furniture should be able to cobble together some sort of API switching linky thing.

p.s since deactivating my fb link my Spotify profile shows me in a Christmas themed jumper, how bad would this look in Summer? We need action!
p.p.s the activity feed is about as much use as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Terrible at updating. Why can't I search friends without Facebook?

Spotify informed us that they are working on adding avatar changing option to they services 2 years ago and still nothing. Are you freaking serious? Smh. I'm new to Spotify and seeing how they ignore simple people needs and requests ... I guess perfect time for me to switch.

I would like to subscribe and pay monthly to spotify but if I am paying for the premium service and unable to have the ability to change my profile picture without a Facebook account, I'm unsure if I should be a subscriber. (I don't see in the community forum if there was a way to change this even as a paying customer) As a paying member we should have the full ability to manage our account and customize it. This is strange that a simple feature like this is not implemented on a great website that provides music. Please allow customers to have this ability!

Hey,  it's 10 years since Facebook Inc was founded on February 4, 2004. Whoopee!

That's a whole decade I've somehow managed to live through without signing up to Facebook. I really wish Spotify let us be the indpendent free spirits some of us want to be. I'm still just a ghostly grey silhouette.
