Picture on Profile

I would like to suugest the option of adding our own pictures or avitars WITHOUT linking it to our Facebook accounts.

I know there are some of us that were fortunate enough to get Spotify before it linked with Facebook and I would love to add my picture on the account page.

Count me in for this idea guys! I've been searching over all versions of the app and finally came across this thread. I'd love for this to be implemented already so my followers can save my playlists from a distance (instead of having to read who it's from). They'd recognize the pic right away and be like, "I know it's one of his, I don't even have to look through the playlist. I know I'm going to like the whole thing already!"

It does not make sense to a social network not provide such a basic feature as this.

I cannot believe after all this time that this is still an issue!!   I don't understand why we can't upload a tiny photo to our profile -- it's a basic feature of most social networking sites.  Why oh why must we link to Facebook?!!  I'm sick of seeing that gray egghead with no face by my user name.

I just switched to Spotify Prem from mog and am so bummed that the only way of putting your photo on your profile is to be linked to FB.  Not cool.  I feel like it's silly that this hasn't been resolved especially seeing how long this thread has gone on.  What's the hold up?  The whole thing feels a little icky.  C'mon Spotify, I think you're pretty cool so far but this is lame.

I'm quite bemused as to why this needs 30 pages worth of discussion, accounts one way or the other are mandatory yet we can't customise our profiles, unless you are using Facebook. Who honeslty thought that was a good idea?

It was my understanding that Spotify has a 'social' aspect with respect to sharing playlists etc, apparently we're all faceless mugs, unless we use an abomonation in the guise of facebook.

Has there been any good response to this?  The only reason I can possibly imagine for them not letting users add a custom profile is that they have some sort of deal with Facebook that doesn't allow it.  Otherwise, this is absolutely ridiculous that were aren't able to add our own picture.

I write for a website called LessThan3 and we create a new playlist on Spotify every two weeks.  We created a new user to be the home of this although there is no Facebook account associated with it, thus no image to use.

Just adding my support, it's ridiculous that it's not in the plans. Either implement it or tell us why it can't be done, 'not right now' isn't good enogh as a response to a seemingly simple task.
