Picture on Profile

I would like to suugest the option of adding our own pictures or avitars WITHOUT linking it to our Facebook accounts.

I know there are some of us that were fortunate enough to get Spotify before it linked with Facebook and I would love to add my picture on the account page.

Yeah, I'm backing everyone else here. Don't require us to link our Spotify accounts to Facebook; IT'S NOT NECCESSARY.

Come on Spotify. I don't do Facebook. Either let your customers (the people who pay your salaries, btw) link to a Twitter account, or let your customers customize their Spotify account image.

Definitely agree with this. Profile pictures are not the be all and end all but I hate all this current linking of accounts to each other. I deleted my FB account a few years ago and have never looked back.

Luckily I already had a spotify account by the time FB became a prerequisite. So when I heard about the mandatory FB linkage I was shocked. Profile pics are just the tip of the iceberg... Come on guys do you really want your whole online lives to go through one single company who have a monopoly on the whole world's social, commercial and now musical activity?

I like to keep this post alive.

It’s now almost 2,5 years since the first replay on this one. Working with computer service, I know the pipeline of ideas never dries out and every one like to think that just "my" idea is important.

However, this one should not be to complicated to salve:) So please don’t forget it!

I would also like to give all of the devs kudos for great work on Spotify. I`ve been a user since "the dawn of the day" here on Spotify, and the service has come a long way. So keep up the great work!

2 years later, still not implemented. Seriously, why cant I add a profile picture? AOL will even let me do this.

I know this is going to get lost in the sea of comments, but I agree. I am a new member of Spotify and I looked everywhere for an "Add Profile Picture" button, and only until I googled how to do it did I realize that I could not. I do not use facebook but would still like to be able to show that I am not a little grey man. 

It really is kind of a minor detail I suppose given that it does not affect my music in anyway, but it would be a nice perk.

Thought I was going crazy not finding a way to change my profile pic and I will NEVER lin it to my Facebook accunt.  Can't believe there are so many other requests for this and it's been years with no traction.  Love Spotify but this SUCKS!
