Possibility to add friends without Facebook Accounts (Spotify ID)

Hi! I just stumbled across a problem; I have friends who don't have facebook / don't use facebook / who hate facebook.

I tried searching a way to add them as friends so I could send them songs and see their playlists etc, but I was unable to find a solution... 

Suggestion:

- To be able to add friends using their Spotify login ID

- To be able to see their actions in Spotify Social (what they are listening to)

Hi, my Spotify profile is public. I have linked it to my facebook account. I'm still unsearchable.. this causes a lot of problems as I teach fitness classes and my students can't find my profile or playlists. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Just tell them to type this in the search bar:

spotify:user:username

Change 'username' with your actual username.

Your profile will appear, and they will be able to follow you.

@osornios Thanks for the response. I am aware that is a workaround but most people don't know to use those search parameters. My question is more about why my account isn't searchable via the traditional/normal channels even though I'm linked to Facebook. Seems like a bug that needs fixing.

I don't find this search function helpfull. 

Even though I don't have facebook, I still have friends. I want to add my friends to my friendslist (wich is very  emtpy at this time). 

Am I not valued by the spotify team since I don't use Facebook? 

Please add friendsips for those without facebook.

Spotify has been lame in my opinion and still has not come up with a decent solution to this problem.

My profile is linked to FB and I double checked that my app settings for spotify on FB is public weeks ago and that darta is being fully shared, but friends are still unable to find my profile with my name. 

I just signed up for premium a few weeks ago and this wasn't a problem previously - I'm debating canceling this service due to the lack of help from customer service.

I don't do any social media, so how do I find people?

It's really hard to find and interact with my friends on SPoitfy without having a Facebook account. I would like that to NOT be a requirement. I have no intention of having a facebook account, but I'd love to interact with my friends on Spotify. I've tried searching for them using the code mentioned above, to no avail. If anyone has any advise, please let me know.

I miss being able to see my friends on the sidebar.

It’s still not solved after all these years, but the easiest way is just to share your profile link to the people you want to connect to by mail.
Once they are connected using this link you’ll see their profile to.

This doesn't work anymore, seems my friend activity pane only works if I'm connected to Facebook. Can re please re-open this?
