[Social] Bring back Inbox/Messaging with Notifications

The Inbox/Messaging feature did not get a real shot at even being a feature because Spotify took away notifications for new messages. Give Inbox/Messaging some development so users can continue to privately share songs.

I was chatting with a friend via WhatsApp, we were talking about what we were listening to, and we were sharing some songs and I thought it might be a great idea to have a chat to use with your friends on Spotify, there we could chat, share songs, invite them to listen to music with us, and some other things.

Like If you were on Instagram and you wanted to share a post with your friend, the same but here you can share songs.

I think Spotify has a lot of potential to be an app where you can Interact more to people trough music and the feelings. There is nothing more **bleep** that connect trough music. Please consider the idea. 🙂

Exactly what you would think… A way to send a song to someone you follow to suggest it to them. Right now, you have to go through a part party (text message, snapchat, instagram, etc.) app in order to suggest a song. This can be tedious because you might forget the song or whatever. However, if a direct message system was installed you could send a song straight away. When you join the app it could even say like “[name] has sent you a new song”. Just a thought 🙂

It would be AWESOME if we could share songs and all Spotify's content within the platform itself, as well as if we could chat with our friends in the app too - which means there would have a tab especially for friends communication!

Create a chat feature within Spotify where you can send friends songs. This feature currently exists, however you have to send songs outside the app (via iMessage for example). A chat would be more convenient and you will never lose that song your friend sent you that you forgot to listen to at the time. 🙂

how sick would it be to be able to message your friends on Spotify, share songs, and whatnot, just a cool way to round out the Spotify experience. To mitigate the possibility of spam messages just make it so you cant just randomly message people you can only message your friends or messages you have accepted (kinda like Instagram DM's) but you can still send songs to each other from the Spotify platform. and this could be tested on desktop first then introduced to mobile or vice versa.

I wish there could be a chatting system in the spotify app, or at least something to share songs in spotify. There used to be a chatting system, why did they remove it?

I've been using the Spotify app for a long time. As a music lover, Spotify gives me great satisfaction. however, I think a few additional features are also necessary. I believe that our interaction with other users within the application is limited. Of course, Spotify is not a social media application like Instagram or Twitter, but in its own way, the interaction of users with each other can be greatly increased. e.g; It would be nice to recommend and share songs to our friends from within the app, or it would be nice if we could send invites to create a collaborative playlist. I have been waiting for these and similar features for a long time, but unfortunately no step has been taken in this direction so far. Please consider this suggestion and our request.

What's the one thing that every single person who ever listened to music do at least once? Sharing their favorite tracks with their friends of course! Although, currently the only way to do that is through a third party app, which could sometimes be a hassle, but Spotify Chat fixes that! With a chatting service built in to Spotify users can now send their favorite tracks to anyone who has a phone and a Spotify account without having to export a link to another app.
