[Subscription] Student Discount iDeal Payment for the Netherlands

Hello Spotify,

Students in the Netherlands mostly pay with iDEAL, we don't have a CC. It is possible to pay with iDEAL for a regular premium subscription but not for the 'student discount subscription'. Can iDEAL be added as payment option?

UPDATE2: Apperently a Spotify Community Manager made a mistake by updating this idea to 'Not Right Now'. I'm trying to get in contact with Meredith to fix this issue. - fixed

UPDATE3: We have reached over 200 votes, thank you all! Still, Spotify doesn't give a fu duck. I don't know why the can't fix such a simple issue. Keep on voting and commenting!

 I feel so bad that I can not have a student subscription because I don't have a credit card. Why is it possible to pay for a regular account with Ideal but not for a students account. Doesn't make any sense!

Spotify you will be the death of yourselves eventually, with your continual ignorant attitude towards your customers across the board. As much as I dislike Apple as a company, I will be using Apple Music as they have already agreed to a proper payment method for a Student discount. Speaks volumes about how bad you are if Apple of all things is the better alternative.

It seems that people working at Spotify can't really be bothered with issues like this. The same happened with the Musixmatch lyrics feature that was taken away, loads of people complained and there's on-going discussion about it, it's been a few years now, and Spotify apparently just ignores it. Someone working there must be reading these comments, right? Too bad, really.

Come on Spotify, students in the Netherlands can't afford a creditcard. Why is a "normal" premium account payable with ideal and for students not??????

Im going to leave Spotify for this, they havent changed this for in like 2 years.

Every student in the Netherlands has this problem. If you don't want to give discounts, just don't. If you do want to give discounts, make them accessable. This is the only thing holding me back from upgrading to premium right now.

It would be amazing if Spotify would give this option. I mean, is it so hard to inplement? Almost no students in The Netherlands has a CC.

Same problem! But could use debitcard like N26 or Revolut. N26 is one of the best choice. No Office of credit registration needed!

Het zelfde probleem, maar met een debitcard zoals N26 of Revolut kan je dit probleem tijdelijk oplossen. N26 is een van de beste keuze die je kunt maken. En je kan gwn normale betalingen ermee doen. PS. is een gratis rekening met een mooie doorizichtige pas. en geen BKR registratie (het is een normale rekening net als ING, ABN enz maar dan een mastercard in samenwerking met N26)
