[All Platforms] DJ Version of Spotify

I'm a DJ. I want a DJ interface for Spotify, where I can play two tracks at once over the top of each other.

It doesn't have to be anything complex -- just two tracks and a crossfader would do the job. But if you fancy adding things like waveforms, pitch-shifting, and other functionality, that would be lovely too.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

After speaking to the right teams, we're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

As flagged in the last status update, our friends at Algoriddim have an app called djay that allows you to mix tracks using Spotify. You can check out details about djay here.

If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Thanks.

DJ Mode is a game-changer for DJs who want more control over their mixes without needing a full setup. This feature lets you seamlessly queue the next track and choose the exact timestamp where it starts, ensuring smooth transitions without awkward intros or sudden drops. Perfect for casual sets, house parties, or spontaneous mixing, DJ Mode gives you the freedom to craft a professional flow straight from your Spotify app—no extra hardware needed. Take your mixes to the next level, effortlessly.

I have a party at the end of February, but we don’t have the budget for a DJ. So, my friends and I made a playlist with a mix of our different tastes—some songs are very short, others very long.

That’s why I thought: why isn’t there a song transition timer? It would make things more dynamic! Setting a fixed duration for all songs would keep the music flowing smoothly without anyone having to manage it, creating a more fun and unified atmosphere.

Would love an update to this!

I often use the virtual d'j software for private parties or personal events. As part of this use it would be useful to be able to find spotify in their online music, which would allow you to find tracks live or use our playlists. They do it well with deezer.

Thank you for your attention and your response to this subject.

Hello.

Does this work with a numark or pioneer type controller.

thanks

Bonjour wolfi 22.

following my idea with Virtual dj I just tried djay pro as you suggested in a message.

Well there are good things like the sound, the power and the quality. Problem: requires an annual subscription of 50€ to be able to use the version completely and probably a subscription to Apple music your competitor. I have not tested everything to know the result with my numark controller which I remind you only needs one purchase for life to work with virtual.

Thanks for your info time will tell

I use algoriddim dj pro (50€ yearly) with ipad and reloop mixon 4. For the music an account tidal for djs (20€ month).

This solution is the best. If necessary I can use ipad without consolle. In this case I use headphones with a splitter signal (minijack) for precueing
