The amazon fire we have is mainly used by our 6 year old daughter. She's got her own profile here so she's got related app for her she. Since Spotify Kids was just released it would be ideal to make it available in the Amazon AppStore

This is the whole reason I wanted to upgrade to Spotify Family! We love the parental controls on the Amazon FreeTime. Please make Spotify Kids available for the Kinlde!

I just signed up for the Family plan, intending to add Spotify Kids to my three daughters Kindle Fires. I saw that Spotify was available on their Freetime accounts and assumed of course that Kids would be as well. Unfortunately that's not the case, which is frustrating. Kindle Fires have been the premier kids tablets for nearly a decade. To release an app intended for kids and then not supporting on the most critical kids OS for over a year is mind boggling. Adoption of the app is going to be critically limited. I'll be canceling my family and going back to single user.

The regular app is NOT child safe despite being able to disable tracks marked explicit.  Parents and kids *really need* Spotify Kids available for Fire tablets. I’ve disabled the regular app on my kids’ tablets due to them being served scary content, as well as images and podcasts that aren’t age appropriate. We may also downgrade back to an individual plan. Boo.

Get your finger out spotify or I'll be buying my 6 year old an alexa and subscribing to amazon music instead. My loyalty is already hanging by a thread as a result of some programmer putting everything on to shuffle by default.

..and ANOTHER person here who has upgraded to a family plan this afternoon to let their kids use spotify on a fire tablet to find out the Spotify Kids app isn't available on the amazon app store. Please organise that asap now that it's been half a year since it reached the required number of votes! Can't be that hard to submit it to the app store when the main one is already there!

What is happening with this idea? I've just got my 2 year old son an Amazon Fire tablet and really want to set up Spotify Kids for him on it, it is essential for me to be able to impose parental controls but that's not a feature on standard Spotify. Please would you prioritise this to keep kids safe?

I am a former Spotify Premium subscriber that switched to Amazon’s Unlimited Family plan with high quality streaming that allows me to share the membership with 5 family member who live anywhere in the country, not just my household. However, as others have stated, Amazon does not have a kids version of their music platform or the ability to access the main app through their kids profiles. I will happily come back to Spotify IF you get this solved shortly or before Amazon figures things out for their own service. This should not be that difficult as the Fire OS is just a Amazon specific Android OS unless Amazon is actively blocking Spotify from adding it to the App Store to prevent competition and loss of customer revenue. If this is the case please let people know. If not can you please provide an update as it has been 6 months since this was stated to have been brought to the internal teams at Spotify.  You already have your main app available through the Amazon App Store for mobile devices and through the Fire TV and Echo devices,  1 year later from your kids app release you finally “look” at this only as a result of customer pressure.  Now with 6 month old stale update and no apparent progress or feedback are we to assume that the idea is dead or the statement was just to placate customers to avoid the loss of subscription revenue?

What is the status on this?! I purchased my son a Kindle fire for Christmas in hopes he would be able to listen to music on his device but I now see Spotify kids app STILL isn’t available for Kindle.  Last update for this idea was 6 months ago. Please provide an update! So many of us are paying extra for the family plan and can’t utilize it the way we’d like.

Just sign up the family plan and I was very surprised that I can download Spotify Kids on my Amazon Fire Kids tablet... I didn't try on their Alexa yet but hopefully, I can set their own profile on their own devices.

This is a real shame that Spotify kids app is not available on the kindle fire, probably the most used device for young kids/families. Please at least provide an update on when or if this will ever be progressed.
