[All Platforms][Other] Spotify Kids Amazon Appstore

The amazon fire we have is mainly used by our 6 year old daughter. She's got her own profile here so she's got related app for her she. Since Spotify Kids was just released it would be ideal to make it available in the Amazon AppStore

Hopefully it will be available soon, i can only install the apk on the parental account but i can't select it by "add content" maybe an Update ? i don't want that my children can listen to all rap songs etc ..

I have had Spotify for YEARS. I found out about this Spotify Kids app a few days ago and saw that there was ability to share my playlist with my kids. I went ahead and got a Family plan today because my kids have been asking to have music on their Amazon Fire tablets and wanted to be able to listen to my playlist. I JUST went to add the app to their tablets and found out that there is NO app available on the Amazon Fire Tablet. That discovery led me to this "idea board". I'm already considering cancelling the family plan because they can't access it on their tablets. Could use an update on this situation.

This is very disappointing - you have Spotify on the Amazon App Store, so obviously you (Spotify) have an Amazon App Store account.

You (Spotify) have Spotify Kids on Google Play Store, so obviously you can build it for Android.

Then all it would take is to upload the Android version to Amazon's App Store, and you have instead decided to invest in the customer service staff and processes to ask people to move from forums to "ideas" boards and upvote "ideas", rather than, you know, just doing the upload so your customers can be happy.  That's ludicrous.

If there's some reason this isn't dead trivial: state it.  Otherwise: just do it, and make customers happy.  Orders of magnitude more customers than have bothered to post here, I assure you.

We have the Spotify family plan for quite some time now. It worked well as long as we gave our kids our old iPad to use Spotify Kids there. For Christmas, they got a Kindle Fire HD Kids and as so many here, I am pretty disappointed.

First by the fact, that the Kids app is not available there, of course. But also, by the fact, that it seems, as if nothing is happening about this. The last status update on this idea is more than 8 month old. And even more: It does not say much.

Would be nice to know about some reasons why the Kids app cannot be used on Amazon tablets. Are there technical issues? Is it because of commercial considerations? Do you just don't care about customer feedback like this?

Some information about this would probably help to set expectations right: Should we just wait a little longer and the app will be available? Or will it not happen (before the kids are grown-ups) and it might be better to switch from Spotify to Amazon Music right away?

I know this has been stated over and over.  However as a mom of three who love being able to monitor and track and controll screentime with our children's Amazon tablets. Specially with kids that are special needs who love specific songs on repeat it would nice to free up my account so they can happily listen on thier own in a safe quiet calm space.  Even to help when we're out and about in busy places!

I just bought two Amazon Fire Kids tablets. I see that the Spotify app is supported, but the Spotify Kids app is not. This is a big disappointment, since the main app that my kids use on my iPad is Spotify Kids (and one of the main reasons I wanted to get them their own tablets!).

Please do what you can to support the Spotify Kids app - it will be a tremendous help to parents like me.

Can we please get Spotify kids available in the Amazon app store? My kids use my profile all the time so we can't use Spotify simultaneously and this would be so helpful!!

I added family primarily for the kids app not realizing its not on Kindle. Really would LOVE to see this addition!! 🙂 Even after clicking the sensor explicit content, if you start a search with specific words, VERY inappropriate materials are available AND able to play. Like the word "rough" which my 11 just went to spell "ruff" wrong thinking "dog sound" (very innocent mixup) and the material was beyond uncomfortable!!! Please advise!! If kids app is unavailable then how do I allow my kids to listen to our favorite Spotify Safely!!

I simply cannot believe this has yet to be addressed since 2020.  Everyone here has the same set of concerns and still no actual movement towards resolution. Spotify family is quite honestly the most expensive music streaming service and as it sits today the only way for my kids (8 and 10) to fully enjoy spotify is to LIE about their age so they can have their own accounts.

Make it happen!

Sincerely,

All of us

Its been 2 years since this was started... lets get rolling. My 2 year old would like some independence on his music.
