[All Platforms][Podcasts] Option to disable or hide podcasts entirely

I don't listen to podcasts and don't intend to. But it currently takes up valuable space in both the Spotify mobile app and also in Android Auto. It's annoying having to see podcasts all the time when I don't care for them and don't want to see them.

Is it not reasonable to just have a toggle to show podcasts or not?

Hey everyone,

Thanks for coming to the Idea Exchange and for bringing us your continual feedback. We also think this is a great idea and that there's an opportunity to make it happen, so we're looking into it further.

We'll post here when we have an update - Stay tuned!

I’m not sure it is 😤
This seems to be for specific playlist content… e.g. Kids music playlist.

You seems to be right ruskii, I posted in sheer happiness a bit to early apparently. 😞

Let's keep nagging at spotify, this must be fixed...

As an example, I've rated joe rogans pod 1 star, and i have never followed it. But its still on my homepage EVERY EFFING TIME I open the app.  So so bad "adaptiveness".

I hate podcasts, could be more music on view.

So is spotify still **bleep**ing us over for another 4years? Or can we have a simple "Not interested button"

MrBue

Fortunately, I haven't had a podcast on my home page for at least two days.
I would be so happy if it stayed that way!

Any updates on this? Will I ever be able to remove podcasts entirely from the iOS, Android and Android TV apps?

All the space taken by podcasts should be actual MUSIC RECOMMENDATIONS

The fact XXX podcast suggestions pop up on my episodes for you when I plug into my car is outrageous from a privacy perspective. My son was in the car and could see the suggestion. There should be no place for this content as an optional suggestion on any social media account without actually positively consenting to this and I am going to complain to the information commissioners office as it is an outright breach of my privacy. Even if a user chooses to listen to a particular XXX podcast that might drive a recommendation (which I don’t btw), not being able to turn of recommended feeds that’s XXX rated is completely unacceptable. XXX content on a feed has to be a positive consent under GDPR privacy laws n my view and I’m going to follow a process if asking for an opinion from the UK’s privacy regulator.

I'm done... My Settings > Close Account.
