[All Platforms][Podcasts] Option to disable or hide podcasts entirely

I don't listen to podcasts and don't intend to. But it currently takes up valuable space in both the Spotify mobile app and also in Android Auto. It's annoying having to see podcasts all the time when I don't care for them and don't want to see them.

Is it not reasonable to just have a toggle to show podcasts or not?

Removing Podcasts, Audiobooks and everything else needs to be thing.

I want my Spotify experience to be a M U S I C only app.

Great... it's getting worse and worse and more intrusive. Video episodes now appear at the top, followed by several rows of suggested podcasts and audiobooks... all stuff I don't want to see, or have never listened to or watched. It really pisses me off! I just want to listen to music. Nothing more.

Now that Lossless has been/is being rolled out, Spotify thinks it can annoy its customers with this **bleep** again.

It used to be a only music streaming app many years ago. They had to ruin it by mixing everything audio in one place. Now they call themselves „audio streaming giant“, and it hasn’t been about music for a long time. 

I wish they kept the main Spotify app Music only, and made a seperate app for their other non-music cra/p, and everyone would be happy. 
But no Spotify hates music, and if they could get away with it, they’d no longer offer any music streaming.

Same! I’ve been a member of Spotify since their inception, they had it right back then. Spotify has f**k’d up this app so much since then, it even drove me away to Apple Music for a bit. Spotify needs to get their stuff figured out.

Yup it really sucks seeing the app so extremely bloated with all kinds of stuff. I want seperation and a clean app, and not adding more and more different types of media into a single app. It’s BLOATED.

I use dedicated apps for most things. For example I occasionally listen to podcasts, but never on Spotify. I use the Apple Podcasts app for listening to podcasts, because that app is DEDICATED to that one thing. I value clean seperation of services, so I use Spotify for MUSIC ONLY, and nothing else. 

I also don’t want to pay extra for things I don’t use. I don’t want to fund Spotify‘s ventures into other audio streaming areas such as podcasts and audiobooks. I don’t want to see that stuff, and not pay extra for it. I don’t use it!

Unfortunately we can’t get this through the thick heads of Spotify upper management.

This seems to be a highly requested feature, so I hope Spotify considers acting on it. I haven’t listened to podcasts on this app for years, maybe even a decade - yet I still keep getting recommendations. Now the recommendations are from creepy conservative talking heads that I do not ever want to hear from.
