[All Platforms][Podcasts] Option to disable or hide podcasts entirely

I don't listen to podcasts and don't intend to. But it currently takes up valuable space in both the Spotify mobile app and also in Android Auto. It's annoying having to see podcasts all the time when I don't care for them and don't want to see them.

Is it not reasonable to just have a toggle to show podcasts or not?

I don't want or need expletives * out so the word is not shown in full. Missing one word is as bad as the whole word.

Also I don't want the shows at all. There are enough issues in my life without looking at things I don't funny.

The idea of being on Spotify is that I choose what I listen to and see. I don't' mind the occasional  suggestion in keeping with my other songs. However just because I like one artists' song doesn't mean I like them all or even the artist as whole. If I have the expletives switch off then nothing including stupid asterix'ed words should come on my pages.

If you like swearing in your songs and life that's your choice and I accept that we are different.

Sorry this is aimed at Spotify not the Newbie or any other user.

In my newest account where I never listened any podcasts, the suggestions are also now pushed at third row down from the top. But I still would like to hide them completly.

After some months with Apple Music, I came back to Spotify with thier offer 3 months for 9,99 $. Hoped that this option would be available, as well as the lossless quality announced more than one year ago !

It would be nice if we could at least hide podcasts that we're no longer interested in. I've only played one episode out of curiosity in a few podcasts, and yet, they will still appear on top of my suggestions. I'm seriously considering not renewing my premium subscription because not being able to control what appears on my home screen it's triggering my OCD so badly and I just end up feeling frustrated and anxious.

I couldn't get some podcasts I don't listen to anymore off of my homepage.. I **bleep**ING RATED THEM 1 STAR BECAUSE OF IT and still have to look at them, wth is wrong with y'all. Are they paying to get 1 star and reported?

It’s because one star reviews don’t really affect a big app. People may hate them but if the app is semi-necessary, the app providers can ignore them (REI was genuinely unusable for awhile, and they changed, but things like Facebook always have kind of mediocre ratings).

If you want them to change: Stop supporting them. Pretty much every other streaming service doesn’t m do this, and they all have better music quality. They also pay artists more and make more of an effort to retain indie artists rather than ditching smaller artist to make it more unsafe to drive while trying avoid accidentally touching a podcast.

Apple Music allows you to incorporate music you paid for or uploaded from a CD. I believe Amazon does the same thing. I like Tidal. A lot of people from here like Deezer. 

Tidal took two months to figure out what I like as well as Spotify did. Apple Music allows me to listen to those songs whose licenses are tied up on soundtracks. Both of them allow me to find what I want in less than 2 seconds and make it less likely I will die driving, and so I am cool paying for both.

unless you desperately need the social aspects, move on. If you still miss them, check back in a year and see if they’ve improved.

I just don't understand it. Today is another weird Spotify day!

The last few days Poscasts were displayed very rarely. Yesterday on both devices, Mac and iPhone I was shown three rows each...shows you might like, episodes for you and new episodes...even though I have never listened to a podcast.

Today is absolutely awesome!!!

In the iPhone app alone today, I'm seeing "Shows You Might Like", "Episodes for You", "Spotify Originals and Exclusives", "New Episodes", "Philosophical Podcasts for You" and "Spotify Originals and Exclusives Podcasts".

So well over two-thirds of my app is podcasts instead of music...IT'S GETTING WORSE! Spotify, what the heck is wrong with you guys?

Ok same here on Android! After some weeks to have music content at the top of the app and podcast row at bottom, this stupid face of the stupid guy Joe Rogan came back at the top with other podcasts that I really don't care.

Spotify, seriously? Subscribtion will ending in two weeks. Great moment to come back again to Apple Music!
