[All Platforms] "Don't Like Button" should be added to all sections

Hello everyone,

I am not sure why it keeps changing between updates, although in the past Daily Mixes have the Like & Dislike button. But this time around it has been completely removed and is only available Under Your Weekly Discovery.

It would be nice if the "Don't Like Button" was added everywhere, from Weekly Discovery, Daily Mixes, even when searching specific songs, albums, genres etc. to better filter our music preferences.

Also I find on Android on the drop down menu the Don't like button rarely ever works and have to enter the app directly. Like always works perfectly fine.

I would appreciate it if this could be considered.

Thank you

I'd like to implore you guys to put the "hide music" option in Desktop App. How hard is that? Why you guys always make things so difficult?

I don't want use mobile app to do that. In fact,  if I'm using the Desktop App, it is because I CANT USE MOBILE APP at that moment.

I hope this selected feature don't be any marketing thing to force users to use Mobile App. I can't  even conceive that, because I'm paying this sh*t, so why would you guys ever try to manage my usage preferences to force me to use Mobile App to hide a music? I just want to use the feature the way I want. You shouldn't dictate how I should use things in spotify. This would seem so petty.

In summary, just stop complicating things and put the "hide music" in Desktop App onde and for all. PLEASE!!!

I think the minimum votes necessary to be implemented wasn't achieved was due to the fact everybody have gave up of this forum. The major work the staff here is to close tickets. I'm out.

I'd really like the hide song feature to work across all devices. I see it requested all the time and I try to vote/comment whenever I see it. However, it seems like Spotify really doesn't want to enable this feature. I feel like we're all constantly being blown off. I requested help with this issue in another thread, as hide song was glitching on my iPad, and was told to vote here. *sigh* Sooner or later, another music streaming service is going to come along with this feature, and I'll be among the first to switch.

It's been at least a solid two years of multiple users requesting this feature across multiple threads, and Spotify continues to ignore us. It makes zero sense. I can't wait to give my $15/month to the next music streaming service that comes about, that actually implements the same features across all devices. It's only a matter of time.

Please add this, I literally cannot stand the amount of rubbish spotify plays anymore. It only plays the same tracks over and over. At my wits end, will be joining a different service after christmas. I just want something new to listen to on my daily playlists. Anything, please. Stop the repeats of stuff I don't like

This idea was submitted on ‎2019-10-30 and has 4,357 upvotes so far.

And still, it's not implemented.

It's clear now internal teams at Spotify don't care about users' wishes and have no intentions of implementing this feature.

I know we're all annoyed by this, however, a few months ago I came up with a workaround. Clone the playlist you like (select all songs and save as a new playlist with the same name). Remove the songs you don't like, then play "radio" based on this playlist. Then u can like and dislike songs again. You can get new recommendations (I've found a lot of new songs similar to playlists I've created) based on what you keep in the playlist.

While this is clearly a feature that literally zero users would be opposed to, the reason that it will NEVER be implemented is that Spotify would no longer be able to make any sort of statements to an artist, promoter, management company, etc. about the potential impact of them streaming their product/song/podcast on Spotify. As soon as they started taking part in (paying for) exclusivity deals, they shut the door on users being able to directly control whether a certain artist/performer could be blocked on their personal accounts.

It is 2022 now but the dislike option is only available in the weekly discovery but not in the daily mixes.

When will this option be available?

It is extremely annoying that composers keep being added that I absolutely dislike.

The very fact this whole 'good idea' exists as something that needs votes to get attention is beyond me - this is a very basic feature request - even YouTubeMusic has long managed to implement this extremely advanced feature. What it should tell the moderators / Spotify is that this whole way of gathering feedback is nonsense - there are several very other 'good ideas' (basic feature requests) out there which are being ignored because they aren't attracting votes - I would like to raise a feature request to change the way features are requested. e.g. here's an idea: have am internal meeting at Spotify, work out what comprises basic functionality, implement that.
