[All Platforms] "Don't Like Button" should be added to all sections

Hello everyone,

I am not sure why it keeps changing between updates, although in the past Daily Mixes have the Like & Dislike button. But this time around it has been completely removed and is only available Under Your Weekly Discovery.

It would be nice if the "Don't Like Button" was added everywhere, from Weekly Discovery, Daily Mixes, even when searching specific songs, albums, genres etc. to better filter our music preferences.

Also I find on Android on the drop down menu the Don't like button rarely ever works and have to enter the app directly. Like always works perfectly fine.

I would appreciate it if this could be considered.

Thank you

There is universal agreement on this issue. Just add the button. Unless the rumor is true that you contractually can't add it until New Slang by The Shins has been played one trillion times.

Sometimes I feel like the songs that are recommended to me are not something I would listen to at all. I think adding a dislike button would allow the app to better understand new music each person would want to listen to. This would be separate from the block button as the songs you disliked could still be played, but songs similar to it wouldn't be recommended

Came here to add my support for syncing "hidden" songs across all devices & playlists. The fact that hidden songs don't get skipped on bluetooth speakers/headphones makes the feature pretty useless to me, since these devices account for about 99% of my Spotify listening time.

Weirdly, that suggestion (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/All-Platforms-Allow-hide-song-function-to-sync-across-AL...) now auto redirects to this here (totally different) topic.

Both seem to have been marked as "good ideas/suggestions" years ago.

Are we not implementing good ideas anymore?

Liking a song is already in place and you can se your liked songs in a collection.

I would like an extra way to tag songs that does not nessesarly being part or algorithms, a flag can mean whatever to the user. For example, use it temorary or make your own meaning of that option. Be creative.

In image cataloge apps I'm used to a rating system separated from the option to use a flag. But if there is at least one flaged item, A flaged collection folder would be visible.

Thank you! 🏴☠️

It's been over 5 years since the original post and 7k votes and the primary suggestion continues to be ignored. Hiding a song in one playlist at a time doesn't help. Since I have the feature set to recommend similar songs after the playlist ends, it reverts back to playing the samesongs I have hidden. If I hide a song, I never want to hear it again, anywhere! If I just don't want to listen to a song at that point in time, I just skip it. This really is a basic feature that any music app should have, especially an app that advertises the feature of curating music to the listener's preferences. Lacking this feature really does have a huge impact on the user enjoyment (or lack thereof) of the app. Blatantly ignoring the requests of your paid subscribers also speaks volumes.
