Idea Description:
Currently, Spotify can create Mix playlists only using songs available in Spotify’s catalog. However, many users also listen to Local Files, including unreleased tracks, remixes, edits, personal uploads, and regionally unavailable songs.
It would be great if Spotify allowed Mix playlists (such as Artist Mix, Genre Mix, or personalized mixes) to include Local Files alongside Spotify tracks.
This feature would improve personalization and make Mix playlists more useful for users who rely on Local Files as part of their daily listening.
Why this matters:
Many DJs, collectors, and music fans use Local Files regularly.
Some favorite tracks are unavailable on Spotify.
Mixes would better reflect users’ actual listening habits.
Suggested feature:
Add an option like: “Include Local Files in Mixes” in playlist or recommendation settings.
This would make Spotify mixes feel truly personalized.
