Allow lossless playback to Chromecast Audio device

Chromecast Audio is an older but still popular device for streaming. It supports FLAC up to 24-bits / 96 kHz so it should be able to handle Spotify lossless streams, yet it's currently limited to lossy quality. Please allow lossless playback on CCA.

Please Spotify, notice this and enables lossless to Chromecast Audio. After that Chromecast Audio certificate expiry farrago earlier this year (last year?), I have a horrible feeling this (extremely capable) device is becoming more and more niche and forgotten by the tech companies but I'm sure there's a huge install base which shouldn't be ignored.

I was very surprised it didn't work immediately. Seems like a really strange limitation. I don't want to turn on my TV to hear lossless Spotify when I could use my Chromecast Audio instead.

This will be the final straw that broke the camel's back for many spotify loyalist that had been waiting for lossless to be implemented. Lossless on chromecast is extremely important. Implement this ASAP.

I was so excited that lossless was finally available, and then so sad that it's only available on my cruddy phone speakers and not my high-end speakers with Chromecasts connected. Please add support. Tidal worked with Chromecast years ago when I tried it.

Same, surprised it's not supported and I'm disappointed after a long wait. As others have said there are other platforms that do this already. Please give us an official comment on this issue / restriction.
