[Amazon Echo] Play multiple Speakers at the same Time

I recently got six(6) of the 2nd gen Amazon Echo Dots and placed them everywhere in my home. And I realized the policy of Spotify that is limiting to only one device to play music at the same time bothers me a lot when I set Spotify as a default music libary. For example, if one of my family members asks one of Echo Dots in his/her room to play music A, then music B on another Echo Dot I'm listening to stops playing.

I know there is Spotify Family Plan but my kids can't join that because they are just young and they don't have any email account yet. And also I don't want to create an account for them yet.

I believe Spotify could make possible to play the same music over multiple Echo Dots under the same network at the same time somehow even while it's not possible to play music on other multiple devices. Maybe by verifying some factors like if it's for Amazon Echo Dots under the same network under the same account.

I just got 3 echos & an echo plus. This feature seems so basic. Please support multi speaker Spotify play on Alexa. Weird I thought Amazon was preventing this but from what I hear it's a Spotify issue. Definitely a deal breaker for me. Please fix or I will happily switch to Amazon Music.

This feature is now officially supported with echos - but the software developer/providers would need to enable their own solutions.

Spotify better get this sorted, or I will be moving to Prime Music which already has this curial feature.

If Spotify won't allow this their music to played on all of the echos in my office, I'm going to have to cancel to go with another music service...I pay for the family plan right now and it's crazy that we can't have the music playing on multiple speakers.

The only problem currently with Amazon Music is that there is no app to
control things. Everything has to be by voice with an echo or dot. That
is awkward in many circumstances.Otherwise it would serve nicely.

You can access the Amazon Alexa app, and you have some sort of control from there (if you find the music playing screens within that app)

There is an amazon music app 🙂

Why isn't this already part of a Dev plan???

Hey guys, something might be in the works for this issue. On the new advertising campaign for Sonos One with Alexa, it says that fully supported Spotify voice control will be available December 21st. Maybe they’re working on an Alexa update that will add this grouping feature for Spotify come December 21st?

This is so important. If this doesn't get fixed soon, I will switch to Amazon Music. It's that critical. Please make it happen!

Agree with everyone and repeat the call for this feature to be made a priority. With Christmas around the corner, Spotify needs to act fast.
