[Amazon Echo] Play multiple Speakers at the same Time

I recently got six(6) of the 2nd gen Amazon Echo Dots and placed them everywhere in my home. And I realized the policy of Spotify that is limiting to only one device to play music at the same time bothers me a lot when I set Spotify as a default music libary. For example, if one of my family members asks one of Echo Dots in his/her room to play music A, then music B on another Echo Dot I'm listening to stops playing.

I know there is Spotify Family Plan but my kids can't join that because they are just young and they don't have any email account yet. And also I don't want to create an account for them yet.

I believe Spotify could make possible to play the same music over multiple Echo Dots under the same network at the same time somehow even while it's not possible to play music on other multiple devices. Maybe by verifying some factors like if it's for Amazon Echo Dots under the same network under the same account.

Hey folks, Spotify staff here.

We wanted to post an update as this idea has reached over 500 votes from our users.

We’re always working on improving the Spotify experience across platforms, but we’re afraid we don’t have any further information to share at the moment.

We typically don't announce integrations with third parties in advance. The best place to keep an eye on is our blog for news updates about any such partnerships.

Amazing... I am the person who first posted that issue in 2016. Hasn't that issue been fixed yet?? I never looked back at Spotify after canceling in 2016. I’m happy with Apple Music. One of the kids has already turned 18 and become an adult. Lol. Please be an adult, Spotify!

Hi All, Spotify , clearly you would have more accounts back if you delivered this feature !

I am a user of apple music a long time and always listen musics at my computer and the apple tv (air play) simultaneously. I am a windows user. I'd like to change to spotify and yet sing a premium account. But, for my decepcion, this is not possible.

Hi Spotify Devs! May I know what blockers and why multiple session in one account is not possible?

I think that feature is a basic feature in a music streaming app.

I have a baby and using my account to play some music for her sleeping and I want to use my spotify account when I am working but I cannot use since it not allowed to have multiple session.

Your suggestion to download the tracks and play it offline is not a solution.

So I want to know why is not possible?

Hey guys! I Just returned from the year 2035. Good news: Spotify still exists. Bad news: this feature still doesn’t. When you listen to Spotify from your neural interface it stops it playing in your family members heads...

This is astoundingly embarrassing for Spotify. It's been nearly ten years since this was requested... There are half a billion Alexa devices out there, and none of them can play different music on different devices. Even on the family plan that we pay extra to play music on multiple devices.

Let our children interrupt our music til the end of time!! All Hail Spotify and their worthless dev team!
