Artist Filter Mode

I recently had an idea for an additional feature in Spotify.

Sometimes I’m listening to a playlist on shuffle, and a song from a specific artist comes on that I really like. That moment makes me want to explore more songs from that same artist in my own library or playlists.

Right now, I have to manually search for the artist and then browse my playlists to play their songs one by one.

It would be great to have a button (like a toggle mode) that, when activated, temporarily changes shuffle behavior. While it’s on, Spotify would only randomly play songs from that specific artist within my saved playlists/library. Once you turn it off, it goes back to normal shuffle mode.

This would make it much faster to “dive into” an artist when you get that spontaneous interest while listening.

Honestly great QoL idea! Would be useful for people like me who stick a bunch of songs they like in a single playlist and wait for certain songs to appear. 🙂

(Would also be useful to see if Spotify accidentally somehow removed some artist's songs from your playlist randomly, its happened to me before)
