[Desktop] Select default sound device for Spotify Connect

Currently Spotify defaults to using the default sound device when launched, it would be neat if you could choose which sound device you want to use instead in the options screen.

Why is Spotify reluctant to listen to the subscribers?

rly music app without this. I whant to send sound to my speekers when defult audio is DAC for headphones, but i cannot 😞 what a shame.

Please at least make it easier to select a device!  In an earlier version of Spotify this was easy... in later versions it has become more and more awkward (one have to navigate to settings.... devices .... devices menu.... pick device). One click please!

My biggest issue isn't so much that we can't change what device to use overall. Problem is I want to still have my default device be headset, but be able to play only music through speakers. For an audio service they have very little features to customize your audio experience. Need an equalizer? Won't find that here. Want to change what device Spotify plays on? Nothing special here, all you got is your systems default method of doing so. Unless you have some third party software to change something you have extremely limited options with Spotify.

This feature used to exist years ago, but they took it out. Which is a real pain. Myself and my colleagues work from home and use docking stations with external speakers. We keep missing notifications because we have to have our external docking bay audio set as the default.

Simple feature, used to be there, and its been taken away. Annoying. As a premium member i would like to see spotify actually listen to their customers.

Absolutely. I think that when (and if) Tidal implement MQA I'll switch back.
