Focus Listening Mode (Screen Off)

I would like to present an idea for a feature that, in my opinion, could be of interest to a segment of Spotify users, particularly those who view music listening as a conscious and immersive experience.

Many listeners use Spotify not only on smartphones, but also on computers, televisions, audiophile setups, recording studios, and high-end home audio systems. With the continuous improvement of audio quality and the introduction of lossless playback, Spotify has become for many people not only a platform for consuming content, but also a medium for deeply experiencing music.

With this in mind, I would like to propose the introduction of a complete screen blackout mode during music playback. After activating a dedicated icon, the screen of a monitor, television, or smartphone would turn completely black (or effectively switch off) either immediately or after a few seconds, leaving the user with a purely auditory experience. The standard interface would instantly reappear upon detecting mouse movement, a key press, or any other user input.  The feature is designed to allow users to quickly switch between different screen states (active, dimmed, or blacked out) to improve concentration and minimize visual distractions.

The purpose of this feature would be to reduce visual distractions and allow listeners to focus entirely on the music. At a time when most content is consumed primarily through visual stimuli, it may be valuable to create a space where users can concentrate exclusively on what matters most: sound, emotion, and the artistic expression of the creators.

In my opinion, this would be a unique solution in the market and particularly appealing to users of high-quality audio systems and those who practice intentional or focused music listening. The feature could be integrated into the player interface, for example alongside existing secondary controls such as the karaoke button
