Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

This is not a solution. I shuffle the 10k plus liked songs I have on the app and hear the same 10-20 songs every day, it honestly drives me nuts to have the algorithm try and suggest what it thinks I want to hear. I WANT TO HEAR IT ALLL!!!!! Remove the Smart Shuffle feature, or at least develop it to be optional because it's asinine for musician types like myself. I also don't want to play my playlists/liked songs in any of the other sorting methodologies, because then I'll end up getting tons of songs played by the same artist, which is also something I don't want when I'm trying to get some flipping variety in my life... As I dive into it deeper I have noticed that this "enhancement" to your product will cause my devices to play the same songs in the same order every time I play a playlist/liked songs, and often will repeat songs within 10-15min of each other even if I have selected "Regular Shuffle", so to me it looks like the development of this smart shuffle has caused issues with the normal shuffle functionality and needs to be fixed if you want to retain your customer base. Another aspect of your poor development... I am on the 8.8.60.501 iOS version,

Agreed! I'm okay with the concept but we should be able to permanently disable it. Having to toggle through it on the shuffle button is a constant inconvenience, especially when the feature takes a long time to turn on and changes the playlist order. Sometimes it even skips off the song I'm listening to when I click it. Very frustrating and an unnecessary nuisance.

Please allow users to choose what features they use.    Impossible to turn smart shuffle off on large playlists it just spins.   Completely useless and a reason to quit Spotify.  Please don't become a customer hostile company.

I have NEVER pressed shuffle and actually wanted smart shuffle.
I wonder what the actual % of users who press shuffle and want smart shuffle is? I'm guessing 0-1%? Please remove this terrible feature.

Remove it already. 700 votes here and 700 comments on the announcement post. How long before you realise it was a bad idea and undo it? 1000? 10,000?

this feature sucks but it has a purpose i guess. But for now its unintuitive, its clunky, and its a pain in the **bleep** whenever i  wanna do a simple reshuffle that should take less than a second but now it takes 15 seconds. And on top of all that it just makes the app insanely buggy. Please add the option to disable it completely. And fix your product that im paying 15 dollars a month for.

Smart Shuffle is a feature nobody asked for. Every time one would like to shuffle their playlist is first confronted by Smart Shuffle, which adds songs to one playlist (extra mobile data). In addition, Smart Shuffle does not allow listeners to optimally enjoy their offline experiences. Therefore, we should have the option to disable it at least.

I've tried the logging in and out workaround but it is only temporary, after a couple hours the doom buffer wheel is back and **bleep**ing up my playlist that I didn't ask for. While I'm at it. Can you make it so my playlists stop automatically organizing to "Recent" when booting up the app? I also didn't ask for that I want my playlist organized to "alphabetical" and STAY in "alphabetical". Please for the love of christ spotify you are pissing off your community! Get**bleep** together this has been a problem for moooonthes.

Is this a joke? I see so many people about to cancel because of this. Along with myself. If there is no solution to this problem they have created for us , in offline mode , causing people to wait. . . Just take it off. It’s a terrible addition
