[Mobile] [Other] Smart Shuffle toggle setting in settings menu

Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

I like to shuffle my playlists a few times so I get a different mix, since Spotify tends to shuffle in the same 10 songs up front. The smart shuffle button has made it so much harder to reshuffle because I have to wait for smart shuffle to turn on and off. Please give us the option to disable it, or move the option somewhere else so I can continue to reshuffle my music.

Lollicore

An option to completely disable the newish smart shuffle feature in settings. Like completely remove it, so that the shuffle button doesn't need to be tapped twice or you have to wait for the smart shuffle to load/reload (or nearly softlocks the app, when in bad internet)

The "enhanced playlist" feature has done nothing but annoy me since it was released. The feature itself is almost entirely superfluous when there was already a custom radio function.

I would like the he option to turn the feature off completely because i make my playlists because i want to listen to the songs i added to them. If i wanted suggestions i would use the radio function or seek one of countless curated playlists that spotify already provides. The "enhanced playlist" feature has been nothing but an annoyance, that dilutes already existing features and obstructs normal use of my playlists

100% agree. It just adds an extra, annoying, unnecessary step between me and playing my songs in order. The fact that it takes 2-3 seconds to even load before it will let me turn it off is especially infuriating.

whenever I turn smart shuffle on the songs that are around the one that I'm listening to are randomized.

It's frustrating because I fly a lot, and I listen to music on airplanes a lot, and it always takes a solid 20-40 seconds after I tap it to disable shuffling because WiFi is slow and this stupid feature exists.

I would love to just be able to disable it.

+1 it's a good feature to have when you want it, but the current integration is terrible. Should be in the kebab/meatballs menu button or a press and hold action instead of the current implementation.

When I turn off smart shuffle in my “liked songs” it takes me back to the same place every single time, no matter where I started out. I curate my playlists and I really don’t enjoy this ‘feature’

I live in a rural area and have poor service, sometimes turning off smart shuffle takes so long I don’t have access to any playlists. There needs to be a disable button in settings so it doesn’t appear. If I switch between playlists it turns back on and so the cycle repeats. I’ve had Spotify for nearly 10 years and this is the most infuriating thing because it feels like it only caters to people who live in the city. I can listen to music in online mode but smart shuffle basically locks me out of any playlist when it’s disabling
