It would be great if Spotify had a feature where users could identify songs by letting the app listen, just like Shazam. It could help add songs directly to our playlists, discover new music, and keep everything in one app.

By incorporating this feature into the app, users can easily listen to entire songs. It allows them to identify the real audio track from a clip they hear anywhere, even if they don’t know the song's name. With this feature, users can quickly discover the actual title and audio of the music they are interested in.

Spotify should create a widget to allow me to have it listen to a song and tell me what it is like Shazam BUT the difference is once it tells me the song info, I should have an option to add that song to my liked songs (or other playlist). Feels like a slam dunk!

Shazam already has this functionality built in to it. When you search a song on Shazam you have the option to link to a spotify account and add songs that you search up

I think it would be a great idea if Spotify added a built-in feature to recognize songs — kind of like Shazam, but directly inside the app.

Imagine hearing a song somewhere, tapping a button in Spotify (maybe in the search section), and instantly finding that track. It would be super convenient, especially since Spotify already has the song in its library.

It could even be a Premium-only feature to encourage more people to subscribe — or stay free and still boost engagement. Either way, it would improve the experience for millions of users.

Je vous écoute sur un MacBook Pro. L'application Shazam du MacBook ne me permet pas de transférer le titre sur mon compte Spotify comme avec mon iPhone… Stratégie commerciale peut être ? Cela serait un gain de temps énorme.

As a user, I sometimes hear music wherever I go, and I don't know the name of the song or who's singing it. So I activate my Shazam app, and it tells me the name and who's singing it. Then I search for it on Spotify and add it to my playlists. That's what Spotify should have an add-in for.
