Seeing as Shazam and Spotify arent working together anymore this shouldnt be considerd a "nice feature" but a must at this point. Youtube Music has it build in. Apple Music has it through them buying Shazam and integrating it. Now Spotify is behind and this is a deal breaker feature.

I am considering moving across to Spotify from a rival app where a background music recognition function is integrated and you can quickly identify and add tracks to playlists.

I'm amazed this isn't already a feature in Spotify.

I currently rely on Shazam a lot to identify songs playing around me. However, I see little purpose in using a separate app solely for this function when I’m confident Spotify could easily integrate it within the app.

An in-app music identification feature would allow us to seamlessly identify songs and instantly add them to our playlists or libraries without leaving Spotify. This would streamline our experience and for sure make Spotify the ultimate one-stop destination for music discovery and listening.

Such a feature would of course also align perfectly with Spotify’s mission to enhance the way we engage with music!

Sometimes you are listening to someone else’s music or the radio and it would be awesome to be able to just click a button on Spotify that would auto pull up the song you are hearing either on the radio or from someone else’s music.

I would for there to be a feature where you can search for a song based on sound. Just like Shazam. You record an audio sound playing around you a Spotify tells you what song it hears so you can add it to your like it playlist. Literally just Shazam but in the Spotify app. PLEASE I WOULD PAY MORE FOR MY PREMIUM TO HAVE THIS FEATURE

There should be an option to search with sound if you hear a song on the radio and you just listen with your spotify and it opens a song.

Seria interessante ter um botão de acesso dentro do App do Spotify voltado para busca de músicas que estão tocando o ambiente, algo parecido com o Shazam, mas que esteja já dentro do App do Spotify. Ao localizar a música, o App pode armazenar ela dentro de uma pasta especifica, voltada para essas pesquisas, ou então, sugerir adicionar a uma playlist já existente.
