[Music] ASIO Output Support

Please can you add support for an ASIO audio output device?

As a owner of a separate headphone DAC + Amp, I get much better quality music when I'm using the bit-perfect ASIO output rather than DirectSound, which changes the audio bitstream before it reaches the DAC. ASIO output would be a great compliment to the Spotify high-quality streaming.

Thanks!

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea.

We're keeping this idea set to 'Not Right Now', as this isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Rest assured that if we do have any new information to share, we'll check back in here with a new status.

Thanks.

+1  Audiophiles love music - and love to hear music clearly.  Please add ASIO so that I can enjoy Spotify Ultimate like I should!

Thanks

Please add WASAPI support.

Please add ASIO support.

A little up of this idea.

Supporting ASIO would be really great. I've tried to use fidelify, but the've been hacked, and the interface is way much worst than the original.

Please add ASIO support. I must always choose if I want to listen my music in high quilty (Foobar2000>ASIO>iFi NANO>Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7) or just listen lot of music via Spotify. Also upsampling to DSD would be nice for my DAC 😉

FYI Spotify app in Linux sounds miles better than Windows.

I'm not going to try and convicne you, try the A/B yourself, you won't regret it.

In the meantime for Windows users, the wait for ASIO continues...

(I'd love ASIO too, I use Windows and Linux).

Good to know! maybe there is a way to do go with spotify in a linux VM
window and somehow keep the quality?

Hey audiophiles,

here´s my new solution that i wanted to share with the community!

Came upon this program when i was looking for months for something that could stream audio from the default Spotify through ASIO rather than the Windows mixer, so I gave Fidelify a try, but it is to buggy and misses many features of Spotify.

Asio Bridge works fantastic for me! Just choose your DAC after reboot:

It is up to you, but i hear big improvement of sound quality with asio bridge trough my DAC Magnat MA600 and the legendary Magnat Vectors!

Greetings from Germany!

@kaschi1992 I greatly appreciate the suggestion. I can confirm Asio Bridge not only works, but sounds better than Windows 10 default sound mixer.

I downloaded the VB Audio ASIO Bridge, installed and rebooted. My Windows 10 PC sees it as a device in Sound / Playback called "Hi Fi Cable Input", and it is enabled and ready. If I choose that as my sound playback device I get no sound output. So I then chose my Meridian USB DAC as the default device on the same Sound / Playback menu. I get solid sound output from my USB DAC. But I can't say for sure that VB Audio ASIO Bridge is processing anything or that I hear a difference.
