[Playlists] Sort by Release Date

It would be nice to be able to sort a playlist by the release date of the songs.

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange.

We've discussed this idea and while it is interesting, we aren't able to prioritize it and don't have any immediate plans to implement this. We will let you know if this changes in the future.

With so many decade specific playlists being maanged, a feature like this would be a tremendous help.

 

i.e. - i have a massive "1980's" playlist I've put together.  However from a music standpoint there's a drastic difference between early 80's (still heavy with disco influence), mid-80's (full on 80's pop), and late 80's (starting to transition into a pre-90's/pre-grunge world).  I'd imagine this sort of function would be of great use to others as well.

Please add search within Albums (and playlists) by year. It's just lazy to leave it out!
