[Playlists] Turn Off/Remove/Opt Out of "Your Episodes"

Currently, downloaded podcasts are automatically added to the "your episodes" playlist (whether you want them there or not). They are not automatically removed when you un-download them. Additionally, is a pain to remove each episode from the playlist, you have to perform at least three steps. This feature, as it currently exists, serves little more purpose than to be a duplicate of the "downloads" tab.

In sum, users should be able to choose whether or not they utilize the "your episodes" playlist feature and have greater control over how it functions.

Like I seriously don't care about or want random stuff on my spotify. We pay for the platform and should get control over what we see on our homescreen. I could not careless about a girl mouthing her mic in some ASMR nonsense. I'm here for my music NOT sexual bullsh*t you try push to people, we have P*rnhub for that.

Yes, they're extremely annoying, and so are "top playlists" (not sure about the right translations, I see them as "Не пропусти топовые плейлисты" in Russian).

Spotify's top selling point always was a friendly recommendation system, and these "in your face" ads defeat this selling point completely, as they don't represent what I want. As a paying user, I want to be able to hide them forever.

Agree, I came here for music not for those disgusting sexual podcasts, do you know there is a website called pornhub can feed you better? It’s ridiculous a music app keeps recommending those **bleep** tape like episodes to customer.
I am thinking of switch to other apps just because of this disgusting feature.

Why on Earth is there episodes of Erotica on Episodes for you? I'm here too listen to music not that nonsense. Can we have the option to remove this please? And those who use it can keep it. Paying for music not **bleep**.

Please please please!!! allow us to completely remove the “your episodes” playlist. It’s the top playlist that shows after the pinned ones. You can’t move it out of sight and it’s annoying because I don’t listen to podcasts and have no use for the playlist that’s being put at the very top.

It's crazy that, if I want to follow Joe Rogan, all 5 bazillion of his episodes get thrown into my episodes.

Make a function where only NEW episodes that happen AFTER I follow a podcast are dropped into my episodes.

andreasgottardi

This is probably not going to happen. I just cancelled my subscription entirely and will switch to another streaming operator.

Another necessary feature that Spotify will absolutely ignore. This whole "Live ideas" exchange only exists to placate users. Spotify doesn't care what users want and they sure as anything won't do anything about it.

Watch this idea being sorted into "We are not doing this right now" in a couple of months.

Any updates?

I'm a paying customer, and the F*** Podcast section is offering me explicit and religious content,
I wish to see non of them.

The only solution I'd found was to migrate to another platform (search google for Spotify alternatives, there are plenty.
Just moved to a better platform.

I want Music, not a Shitty podcast pushed to my throat.
