Please fix Spotify Shuffle.

I've been wanting to talk about this for longest, since this has kind of been a problem for me within the past few years of me using Spotify. This may not exactly be an idea, but I just really want to talk about it.

For context, I mostly use Spotify on my PS5 when I'm gaming and I think it's really great to use as it is free to use on there and doesn't require a subscription like Apple Music does, and I hope it stays that way. My main issue is with the shuffle option and how it does not actually shuffle the songs that are in queue.

Mind you I have over 1,092 songs saved on my 'Liked Song' list, and it feels like I'm constantly getting the exactly same songs or songs that are similar to them, which is strange because I thought that 'shuffle' was completely random, but apparently shuffle the feature might run off of some kind of statistic, like songs that you play the most or something like that, which heard on either here or, and it probably explains why I wouldn't hear a song from an artist for months on my list and IMO completely defeats the purpose of having shuffle if it doesn't actually shuffle. There would be many times when I would even get the same exact songs in one session, and I'm like “did I not just hear that song?”. Like yesterday and the day before, I got the exact same queue of shuffled songs, it's that bad.

Please fix the other bugs that may be plaguing Spotify, such as after an advertisement finishing. It just completely freezes, and it doesn't play the next song or next advertisement, and I would have to completely exit Spotify and replay my playlist, and it may not just be Spotify itself or just the version of Spotify that's on PS5. Maybe it could be different; I'm not sure, but I really hope this gets fixed.

Thank you for reading.

My "liked songs" playlist have more than 6k songs, and I like to use the shuffle option, but even tho I reset the shuffle, there are songs that play every day, and it is really annoying. Shuffle needs to be fixed to a "true shuffle". I hope they finally do it.

I have over 5,400 liked songs and I only hear the same 100 or so. Please fix this, at some points I can even guess what’s coming up next because of how Spotify has “shuffled” in the past. I know which two sublime songs (Garden Grove and What I Got) come up every time I play this playlist, I shouldn’t be able to do that. I like every song on that album, why only two songs? Please help us enjoy the wide variety of music we crave, I don’t want to go back to Pandora.

I have more than 50 hours of songs in many of my playlists and I really would like to hear all the songs that are in there.

What I realize pretty often is that even if I have a shuffle function in operation that wants to guarantee me that I hear every song only once, I still make the experience that I hear one song within two or three hours, twice or even three times. That must mean that I hear some songs out of a 50-hour playlist never.

Please make a shuffle function that does not start at the beginning every time I enter a playlist or leave it when I change to another playlist. I would like to have a shuffle function that shuffles randomly through the whole playlist until every song has been played and then starts anew with random shuffling. I think that should be an easy task. You just have to link to a playlist and a counter or a timer that knows which songs have been played from this playlist already and they are not selectable by the random function until the whole playlist has been played through. That would be really a great help and I could be sure to hear all the songs of my playlist and not, as my strong impression is, a few favorable ones and others none at all. Thank you!
