Precision Transition Editor

Recently doing a mix, I found myself needing a little bit more control. I am proposing an advanced, manual control interface for crossfades and transitions within the "Mix" feature. Currently, transitions feel automated; this feature would allow users to manually sculpt the curve of their transitions, similar to professional DAW automation.

In the image attached to this is just a simple idea of what it could look like without being too intrusive to the UI.

Interactive Curve Sliders: Users can manipulate nodes (circle sliders) on a grid to control the timing and intensity of fades, bass swaps, and filter automations.

Mode-Based Layering (Important for the idea to work): To prevent interface clutter, the UI would easily feature selectable modes (Volume, EQ, or Filter). Toggling these modes displays only the relevant "joints" and automation lines for that specific parameter.

Visual Feedback: By overlaying these control lines directly atop the track waveforms, anyone can visually align their custom transitions with specific beats or song structures for perfect, seamless mixing.

Something I didn’t add to the mockup image: Since not everyone may want to use this, and prefer the current simplified form, there could be a toggle “Transition Pro” switch for those who wish to elevate the quality of their transitions.

Here it is! It lost some resolution after saving it (Edited on ibisPaint X) but you can still get the idea clear enough. 👍
