[Queue] Queue to Next or Last

Present two options on rightclick, Queue Last and Queue Next. Very easy to implement, and useful.

The way I been using spotty lately is to keep adding to Play Queue, it has gotten really long and sometimes I want to listen to something right now, then I have to add to queue and then move the songs all the way up to the top.

Mediamonkey have had this implemented since long ago. Mediamonkey is btw the best musicorganizer I've ever owned or tried.

Hey there,

Thanks for this submission. We had a slight hiccup with moving ideas to different boards, but it's all good now.

We're setting the status of this one as "not right now", but that doesn't mean that your votes don't count.

Cheers!

It's disappointing that something like this is being suggested from more than 2 years, and still being considered. Queue and playlist management its everything in application like this, and I can't imagine why anyone would prefer the current limitations and unintuitive behaviour. In fact, I would have expected this suggestion to have attracted way more kudos in two years; perhaps it's so obvious that a lot of people don't even bother to spend time voting it.

This area should be a heavy focus area for improvement for the development teams, as is also a great source of dissatisfaction with the service and likely a stopper for many people to jump to premium for such limited flexibility.

I agree with jmonfar, this should have been fixed a long time ago. Please add this to the next release Spotify!

It just shows that the Spotify devs don't actually know what a queue is, which is quite worrying - I'd expect even a junior dev to know this. Queues in both programming and real life are FIFO - first in, first out. It means that new things added to the queue are added to the back.

On Spotify, you're back to the LP time: if you wanna listen to a given song after the one being played now, you have to wait for it to finish, go there and manually hit play (put the needle) on the desired song.

Unbelievable.

C'mon Spotify! This should have been implemented a loooong time ago!

I can't imagine it is something that is hard to implement either...!

Yes, I like to que an album, then browse around and add some other songs of other artists to the que, and not disrupt the flow of the album. This seems like normal behavior that could be expected, so I'm quite surprised to find here that this is indeed implemented different and somewhat ignorant.

This is a really really useful feature. The new Spotify also makes it impossible to add tracks and move them to the top of the queue manually.

So I just started a trial Tidal account and guess what? They know how a queue works! First in, first out... please fix this Spotify or you will start to lose customers.

Unbelievable that this isn't implemented yet.. The idea is from 2012! Play next has been in wimp/tidal for years!

Nice! I started a similar idead, but they closed it because it's to similar.

My idea was also to add random options when queueing:
