[Queue] Queue to Next or Last

Present two options on rightclick, Queue Last and Queue Next. Very easy to implement, and useful.

The way I been using spotty lately is to keep adding to Play Queue, it has gotten really long and sometimes I want to listen to something right now, then I have to add to queue and then move the songs all the way up to the top.

Mediamonkey have had this implemented since long ago. Mediamonkey is btw the best musicorganizer I've ever owned or tried.

Hey there,

Thanks for this submission. We had a slight hiccup with moving ideas to different boards, but it's all good now.

We're setting the status of this one as "not right now", but that doesn't mean that your votes don't count.

Cheers!

I think everything has been said.

Spotify is the only service with such a ridiculously complicated queuing system.

You start an album or playlist, the rest of it goes to the Queue.

Then two buttons: "Add to Queue", which adds selection to the end of the Queue, and "Play next", which inserts selection in the Queue right after the current Now Playing track.

This is how it's done everywhere else. Simple.

Please don't discard the wishes of so many of your users.

Sorry, but I feel you are actually making things more complicated by not adding this.

My regular use-case is that I want to queue several albums by the same artist and in order to do that, I either have to

1. Add a one-shot playlist (easiest option, but I don't want to add lots of playlists that I delete later).

2. Wait for the last album track to play before I queue the next album.

3. Queue the album and then rearrange the tracks in the queue, which is very annoying (not really a viable option).

Please take that into consideration

Kind regards

I recently downloaded the new update for Spotify and noticed the "up next button" was replaced with the "queue" option. With this It's basically a shuffle now on your playlist or looking at a selected amount of songs to move up the list. This is something that made the app unique and fun, but now since that option is going I might as well use the money for Apple Music if this doesn't get fixed. Id rather be able to pick the songs the songs I like rather it being a Pandora now.

I know about some friends who moved to Spotify's competition precisely because the lack of this feature. What about adding an option in advanced settings to enable this?

You keep referencing this thread & post even though it is quite old. There are sooooo many requests for a queue that's works as expected (like all other respectable music players). Songs added to the end regardless of how the queue began. As it is now, if you don't "add to queue" to begin with, whatever list/album is playing is split. I bet you would get a lot of votes for it if you weren't just sending people to this dead end thread still to this day.

What kind of a reply of the developers is that? If you don't want to make it more complicated, then at least get the default behavior right. Just que to the end, and not somewhere in the middle, splitting album flow and stuff. Just like any que, for shops....line new people or songs up at the end. How difficult can it be?

How about a "Move to top of queue" option from within the queue? Then there wouldn't be a need for an extra option in the regular menu

Jamalleelee

I just noticed this has been here since 2012!

This option is a must. Spotify is great but can be very frustrating do to this option not being available
