RETURN THE LIKE BUTTON

I don't care if this has been submitted a hundred times over, you Spotify devs clearly need to hear it. You should *not* have to go through the effort of finding the "liked songs" playlist, just to add a song to Liked, when you have a ton of playlists. Playlists don't even sort like they used to, it seems almost random which playlists show first despite which ones I interacted with last - but that's not the issue here; it's just yet another downside of the problem at hand.

Please. Please. Please.

Bring back the **bleep** 'liked'/heart button on songs and albums. Having to add liked songs to my liked playlist manually just leads to me adding it to different playlists because it's so **bleep** tedious in the first place. I've been adding songs to playlists and then using the PC version to mass-add songs to Liked because you make it so inconvenient on mobile. This isn't user-friendly in the slightest.

Just, why? Why can't you just bring back the little heart? I thought the point of liked songs was to add songs then and there; not to have to stop in the street to add a song to a playlist because it now takes several seconds to do so. I've been paying for Premium since 2009, and now I'm wondering if you're worth the effort. Fire whoever told you it was a good idea to remove the Liked button, seriously. Fire yourselves for listening, too.

Hello, it drives me crazy that I can no longer immediately see if a song is in my Liked Songs list. Instead, it could be in ANY playlist (that I might delete later etc.)
PLEASE show in ANY place (ANY playlist song listing, ANY other place where a song is shown) if that song's in the like list already or not. Again, it drives me crazy.

My Question or Issue

The check mark is super confusing and inefficient. Before I used to see a heart that showed a song was in my liked songs. Now I see a check and I have to click to confirm it's in my liked songs. I use Shazam and it auto adds to the Shazam playlist, but that doesn't mean I just want it there. It's stupid and just causes extra clicks, why not just leave the heart and add the checkmark for playlists only. My liked song is not a playlist.

Almost an year has passed which is pathetic. I was still waiting but after so long I doubt they are bringing the heart button back. I was postponing moving to another platform because it will take some work moving all my music and I was still hoping they would bring the heart button pack or at least give us users some feedback.

Anyway, giving money to this company makes me feel like a fool, they don't pay artists enough so I would expect all of the money would go into hiring people that actually know what the ***** they are doing and have basic understanding of UX design. I've never seen such a stupid decision from any other company.

It really sucks that you guys at Spotify don't seem to care that We can like the album but We have to listen to all the songs and like them as well which is ridiculous. Please, at the very least,  bring back the like all songs button. That would help. If you're even listening or care.

This is really sad and very simple in the same time. I just cancelled my subscription.

I still miss the hear button!

I have two lists every year: Best songs and best albums. When a song is released and the album from it hasn't, I add it to best songs without adding a heart. When the album of the song is released I add the heart to it signalising that it has been released on an album. Now it's impossible to me to know which albums I potentially missed.

I know I'm of a dying breed, but I view albums as self-contained form of art which should be listened from front to back for the full experience.

I GOT THE HEART BUTTON BACK! I hope this is not part of some A/B testing, I don't wanna lose it again.

Update (Sep 27):

Aaaand it's gone... again.

bosi

I saw the same thing. After installing a new version I got the heart mark back.

Then I killed spotify because it was acting up, and when it started again, the heart was gone...

I'm just here to add to the dogpile because this is seriously my most consistent gripe with Spotify right now. Not having that little visual indicator when browsing albums, playlists, etc. makes it so much harder to keep my library in order. I actually really like the functionality of the plus button, I just want the heart to show up on liked songs again. Just put it right next to where the plus/checkmark goes, there's gotta be someone they haven't laid off yet who knows how to add that.
